Build Progress - VIN's and build dates

I have a VIN and have had it for several weeks now, no build date. I did get a call from my dealer this morning that they were informed there is a hold up with the "Ultimate" part of the Platinum. I ordered a Platinum Ultimate, something to do with the cameras and/or blind spot and/or lane departure.
They suggested they revise my order to remove the "Ultimate" and add back in the roof and possibly whatever other options may not be holding up the processing. Apparently in the process of trying to revise my order, the could not due to a message of "hold on order change". He stated "This means that yours may be one of the 7% that actually makes through as ordered".

I have a Platinum Ultimate on order and have a VIN in hand as well. I won't be taking away options to get my order to slide through.

Not far from you, it's going to North Central Ford in Richardson. I would think we would get a bunch in this area, hard to figure they would sell more than here.

I spoke to my salesman this morning and he said that the 8/8 build date for my F250 Platinum Ultimate still stands but will re-check on Monday... not sure if there is any truth to the above comment about the associated delay or not. Very likely that my dealer just doesn't know.

At this time there is no definite release date. The vehicles will not be shipped until after the "OK to Ship" sanction from FoMoCo. The assembly line needs to be working correctly and any corrections to the first vehicles produced will have to be accomplished in order that Ford presents the best product to the customer.
