Same thing on the service side of things. I was good at putting out the
type of fires that the service dept gets. But I recall one I was not able
to make happy.
Yeah, tell me about it! I had to be the liason between my customers and service many times. It was just poor communication most of the time.
Now that I am an estimator for collision repair, I do the same thing for the customer. Speaking in terms they understand.
It would be nice to hear what Tony has to say in response. Having worked in sales for over 20 years, I can say with 100 % conviction that you will never make everyone happy.
Just a question? Do your lights have to warm up? And if so do you like that? I just never saw this mentioned before and thought I'd bring it up. I'm not putting down Tony, the look of the lights are nice on the truck, just not the quality parts like OEM. Lots of cars out there have this type of light, but you shouldn't have to start the truck before turning the lights on to warm up. That was what he said to do.
Instant on HID is a lot more $$$ do to what is needed
to strik the lamp at full wattage. The lamps Toby uses
do take a short bit to warm up. I tend to be not out of
the driveway before they are full on.
I am not sure but I think that the D2S might be an instant on
lamp with used with the correct ballast. I need to research this.
But like I said it not a big deal for me. By the time the truck is
warmed up the lights are on full and I a all settled.
I feel that the light kit is so much better than the Ebay crap.

I don't know. I still haven't put mine in. It doesn't matter because I feel the same as Sean. My truck is well warmed up before I take it out of park.
As far as your comparison between OEM and what Tony uses, that's just silly talk. You can't compare the two. OEM lights cost 4 times as much in some cases. Even aftermarket insurance quality replacements cost upwards of $1100 per side! The kicker is that they don't just plug n play. Everything runs through the body control module.
Just to be clear, my comments about not being able to please everyone wasn't directed towards anyone. It is a matter of fact and IMHO shouldn't dissuade someone from not purchasing these lights.
While we are talking issues. I had water getting into the driver side light and Tony
said that he would be happy to fix it. I remove the lamp assembly and put the old
one back and guess what. Yep it was also leaking. So the issue was not with the
new lamp. I picked up a new set of turn and marker lamp housing thinking that was
problem. Dried out the new assembly and installed the new parts. I still am getting
water in there. The only thing I can think of is I am misusing some baffle somewhere
below the light. the wheel well seems to be short on that side. It's just too bad I had
to cut the one up on the project truck or I could look at that one. If only I could get
my hands on some 1/8" ABS sheet that I could bend to make a baffle out of.
The big thing is I am happy with the lights that Tony sent me and would buy again.
No problems guys. They look great, just not exactly what I wanted. Mine aren't straight on the horizon either. Could have something to do with the 04 design. It has camo humps out there on low. And you are right much lower price then OEM.
Tony, I have the same ones on post #141. Either my ballast or bulb is out but tearing into the truck, since I work from it, I can't afford to leave it like this. What bulbs are being used on these? Do you have any in stock and if so can you email me at riizodax@gmail.com?
Thank you
I ordered a light set from him in the fall of 2016 for my 2005 Excursion. Before they arrived I ended up moving into a friend’s place while looking for a house to buy. And the lights ended up in storage with all my other stuff. I bought a house in Spring 2017 but didn’t get around to installing the lights until...Spring 2018. I know, right?
Anyway, when I installed the lights the passenger side cutoff was really low. No, I mean, like, WAY low. Like, driver side adjusted all the way down passenger adjusted all the way up still over a foot lower low. So, I emailed Tony just expecting some advice, really, since it had been so long since I ordered. I sent him pics and he said “Whoa, that’s not right!”. He offered to fix it so I shipped the passenger side to him, he fixed it, and my lights are now awesome! Beyond excellent customer service!
So i finally got around to installing the LED fog lights Tony sells. The light output is great, what i am dealing with is a weird U shape being projected on the ground. seems as though I am not getting the full flood on the ground. I have a dark area infront of the truck for a good 8-10 feet. my adjuster stripped out so i have to get a nut on there now to make changes. I also believe my front license plate may be contributing to some of the weird light casting issues. Anyone else experience this before? I obviously need to keep them pointed to not blind oncoming traffic yet still give me the light dispersion.
Are these headlights still available or is there an equal or better commercially available head light out there? I'm in a rural area with lots of critters and there is no such thing as too much light.
If Tony does not drop in quickly post a reminder and I am sure someone will see that he is sent a message. The key with these lights is the projector
he uses. It's very nice and unlike the Ebay DYI crap it plugs right in with little fuss and hair pulling.
The critical thing is they really put the light on the road. My truck in in the shop getting painted and
I am driving a Mini Cooper Countryman and I really miss the lighting hitting the road.
I need to upgrade my lights as well...on these bi-xenon lights, how quickly does the shroud move when switching to hi beam mode? Can you "flash" hi beams?
