I need to upgrade my lights as well...on these bi-xenon lights, how quickly does the shroud move when switching to hi beam mode? Can you "flash" hi beams?
I bought a custom set from https://www.hidretrofitkit.com The are or used to be a forum sponsor. Complete nightmare. They sent the lights aimed way too high. I could light up trees 30 ft in the air with the low beams on. Constant blinding other vehicles. Sent them back to fix and they changed nothing. They barely speak English. Tried to send me forms stating I would under no circumstances return or a file a claim on the lights even if they were lost in shipping. They look good on the website but are terrible They barely speak English. Words are routinely spelled incorrectly in emails, texts, and company forms.. Buyer beware. Save yourself the headache and loss of upwards of $1,000. Tony I sent you a pm.

You know, I hate mine. I hate to have to have something warm up before they come on. I do have the 04 style, and the line out there on lows isn't straight. Could be different with later models. Just thought I'd put it out there.
It should be said that this is they way HID's operate. The gas has to warm up, it's not LED. I have these with Morimoto HID's in my 250, and I have a Navigator with factory HID's...they operate the exact same way.
My Volvo XC70 come with factory Xenon bulbs, it's only a few seconds before they fully warm up. I think it's worth the trade off to ha e better lighting and the bulbs last forever.
I guess I didn't know that. He also said not to run them with the motor not running. We don't do that anyway except for certain circumstances. The light is good. Just don't like the blue line on low beams. It's not even straight. And they've been adjusted many times.
It can take a lot of tiny adjustments to get the cut off line to be at the same point on both sides.
I have not done mine as I never seem to have the time to put into it and when I do have time the

I got to say your right on that. I've tried many times. With what he put inside of mine there is a drop off line also. And they will never line up. You don't see it on high, but low beam is different.

One of mine does have a crooked cut off, but I've never inquired about it.
Hey fellas...so yes warm up is a true thing for all things HID.
The cutoff is supposed to have a blue line and a step like cutoff. That’s how you get the most performance out of these.
Crooked or misaligned Cutoffs May need tweaking to get perfect. All of these are done on a single nut/Bolt method and have the ability to rotate slightly for fine tuning.
