Out in the shop today working on my bed and decided I would like to run with a rear bumper so did some experimenting ..

This is what it looks like with just the roll pan, my tail lights haven't arrived yet to see the complete picture.

I made a mock up bumper the stock width and put the recess in it for the license plate. I didn't really like this look too much.

So I made up another at 53 inches wide and think this is what I'm going to build. I kind of like the look better. So one of my next projects will be making the shorter version so need to pick up some steel ..

I also like the narrowed bumper John.

The hidden latches and gate supports add a cleaned up look.

I needed to make some changes to it because it didn't quite match the curvature of the rear fender and because there is a curvature both ways it definitely wasn't going to work..so used what I could to make it work..

FUEL DOORS

Just for your and others info.

I was looking into these for the panel but decided against. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who had one on the shelf so I was able to physically see it with the panel. I had given thought about buying the parts from Hagen but decided against.
Hagen is the original designer and manufacturer of these I believe. Surf their site it is pretty helpful.

I originally was looking at the Hagan fuel doors but was told by my vendor the Tanks are about half the price and same design and seeing as I had to hack it up in order to make it fit I was glad I saved the money...lol
