So runs are no big deal, just sand them out as long as they are in the clear coat and as long as there is enough clearcoat to sand? I know a guy who puts a piece of masking tape over a clear coat run and sand it until he gets down to cutting the tape, then removes the tape and blocks the area out until level. I should add a little to this. He does not stop sanding when it starts cutting the tape over the run, he keeps goin. When he gets to the tape level that starts showing on the level area around the run, he stops, removes the tape and finishes the blocking.
I spread body filler over the run then block it out. Once the body filler is gone so is the run usually. Then I carry on with wet sanding the rest of the part..

I have painted once so far. I used this method, and it worked very well for an inexperienced wet sander. Key here though is to catch runs in the color before you clear them.
catching runs on the color may be ok if you are not using metalic. If you are using metalic and have a run in the base, I think you are more less up **** creek.
Originally I was going to use the stock brackets and pulleys that came with this motor but was having problems trying to mount the A/C compressor so ended up purchasing these from CVF Racing but they are still not without alignment problems but think I have it solved now and need to measure up for my belts..
I decided to start the installation of the insulation and sound deadening today I got from Midfifty. Installed this very thin deadening pads and wonder if they actually will do much, they aren't much thicker than 2 sheets of paper..time will tell I guess..
Here is a way to test if it works. Go tell your wife that she needs to go on a diet. And run out to the garage and get into the cab. If you can still hear her yelling at you, you probably need more sound deadner !
Couple days ago I installed the radiator and fan shroud. I'm still waiting for the proper sized belt for the A/C pump then will install the inner fenders and air dams..
