I've thought about adding sound deadening to one of my cars but wondered if it is heavy....glad to hear it is not ☺
The sound deadening material does have some weight to it Ian but the insulation blanket that I installed is rather light. In my panel I used Eastwood's Acoustic shield which was quite heavy, I believe it was about 3/4 pounds per square foot..
I'm using a foot operated parking brake from a mid 80's F150 and lowered it the depth of the extension. I'll post pics of it shortly as it will be mounted very soon..
Dash extension is in, A/C unit is wiring is pretty much done, will complete it once the ignition switch is in place. Wiper switch is mounted. I still need to run the ducting to the two center defusers..Hope to get better pics tomorrow..
Pulled the carpet out of the box yesterday and punched out the needed holes to mount the seat base, steering column, dimmer switch and gas pedal. Will bring it back in the house to lay flat for awhile and get the wrinkles smoothed out while I start the wiring..
