Yes, the block is going to disappear as things get added on. So, I agree more blue is needed. And, I'll take the other pic tomorrow.

This is my current configuration:

It's the 1970s air cleaner and sticker originally from a Ranchero, it looks like this:

A 400-4V would be cool, even though no such thing officially existed.

Let me know, thanks! I'm sure I could come up with more/better pictures, and type out what the small print there says.

The new sticker needs to say " unleaded fuel with 10% ethanol"

Ya know, we here in Denver were using that stuff for at least 10 years before the rest of the country was, all this hype about it causing this and that problem is is pure conjecture and scare tactics if you ask me....

My eyes have it as "Genuine Ford Motor co. parts with these trademarks are recommended." & " For complete service recommendations see owners manual."

Bruno, have you guys not been blessed with E85 yet? Don't limit the love to E10

I'm 41 next month

It's funny, most of me is a smashed up wreck, but I have pretty good eyesight, thanks in part to many years working on aircraft and turbine engines reading micro etched part numbers and serial numbers.

About 8 years ago I did a medical for a new job and doing the eye test I read off line by line, right till the end. It was very funny as the doc had to walk over and take the chart off the wall to try and read the last line! He remarked that no one had ever read that far and even made note of it on the med report.
When I die, some lucky bugger will get some good peepers

Hey - I'm almost 67 and I can read it. Just zoom in a bit on this iPad and it is easy. What's the big deal?

Yeah, but your eyes have had a full overhaul with performance enhancements haven't they?
And you've probably got one of those new IPads with the flash retina display.

Seriously, that's a good effort

To this point all I have are the stock eyes, but with having had the growth peeled off and that helped a lot. Oh yes, and my bifocal "cheaters". No, the iPad doesn't have a Retina display, but really doesn't matter in this case as any zooming quickly reached the limits of pixelation.

I, too, used to have exceptional vision. But, right about your age that started to go away and I needed reading glasses. Then I needed full-time glasses. And that turned into bi-focals. So, good luck!

I've had Machinist's eyes since middle school. I can read and see small stuff up close, but no distance. Getting that fixed soon hopefully.

Regarding the air cleaner decal, what if it said "400-HO" in the center section and "Proudly assembled in ___ by ____" so you can autograph your truck?

Hmmm! That might have merit. I'd be torn between the HO label since it would be appropriate for that air cleaner, and the 400-HO with my signature. (I guess it is too much to ask for to get "400-4V HO" in the center section?)

A friend of mine had brass plates made up years ago for the British stuff he worked on. They said "Built by Wombat Ltd." and had a place to engrave valve clearance and timing.

Well, mom cannot make decals anymore, so I'm going to hunt around for a good place to do a mass type order. Before we order, we need to decide on 400-4V, 400 HO, or 400-4V HO.

I think the half moon decal design would work best. I want to keep the power by ford on the left side. In the small print area, I think the made in/by would be my choice.

[EDIT] I want to leave the made in section a blank line for out Aussie and Canadian members and you can customize it by city and state if you want.
