Well, the turbo won't be here until tomorrow, but I did change the lower mounts on the IC. Thanks again JP, Mike and Darin for the input on that
What I did was cut the angle that I had the IC bolted to off shorter and made two rubber blocks out of 1" thick rubber and bolted the rubber to the IC. The rubber sits on the frame and slides back under the angle to hold the IC in place. And I took your advice Mike and nothing is bolted to the frame now, it just sits there. I may drill a hole in the frame and bolt a stop in front of the rubber to keep it from moving forward. Thanks again for the advice guys!

Ok, after talking to Aaron about this, I think we both agree, the lower mount would be better attached to the core support. I'll figure something out on that this week some time I guess.

You don't think it would be better mounted to the core support?

I'm pretty sure I've seen a few mounted to the frame. Are SD's mounted to the frame? I'd think as long as there's some flex in your mounts it would be fine. Especially with that bumper tying the front end together.

I'd still put the bottom mounts on the core support. That will make sure no amount of flexing will cause a problem. You seem to be somewhat like me, it would be on my mind all the time if I didn't. In fact it was, that's why mine got changed before I put it together.

I completely understand where you are coming from Darin, but to me it's like the over zealous carpenter. If 5 nails are good, 30 must be great! Lol

But the body mounts will flex..changing the relationship of body to frame.and that chassis gets shook purty bad..i would want to isolate the ic as much as possible.wou dont mount the rad to the frame..its in the core support in rubber mounts..

Yep, it will eat at me until I do it. I think I've got some angle I can make some brackets to bolt to the core support. Turbo should be here today, so I can start on that too.

Wont that rubber mount on the bottom vibrate and rub the paint off your frame and cause rust? Just thinking out loud again lol

With the plastic 6.0 cooler I would mount it on the core support. The SD IC, the way you have it is fine.

But, the first thing I'm doing this evening is making some mounts to bolt the IC to the core support
