I can't wait to get the turbo and get started on the mount and pipes! I love doing stuff like this. I'm gonna strip everything off one of the engines I have on a stand and get it ready for mock up.
I changed my mind on painting the valve covers red. I'm gonna clean the valley up real good and spray it with some gloss black, paint the valve covers silver, and paint all the IC and intake piping red to match the truck.
You should do the IC and intake stuff blue and anything exhaust with some high temp red. Then you can pop your hood and give a lesson lol "Anything blue is intake, anything red is exhaust!"
"Ahh now I get it!"
I emailed Joey to tell him I was sending my HPOP, but haven't gotten a response yet. I guess I will go ahead and send it tomorrow. The IC will be here this weekend thanks to my buddy Aaron for hooking me up on that, and I should have the turbo next week some time. I need to order some 2" exhaust pipe bends to build the up pipes, a HPOP gasket, a new IPR, and a few other little odds and ends.....and I need some more money LOL!
The IPR I took out was one WITHOUT the edge filter, and the early '95s had the IPR with the edge filter, so I may just put a new one in it if I have enough money.
The truck was running fine with the one that was in it, but it's not the one that belongs in it and that bugs me. I don't think I can make myself put that one back in. I wasn't counting on that expense when I tore my truck apart LOL! Too late now though
I asked Joey about it in the email, and also PMed Rick (Action1178) about it too. Rick said it would run fine on the newer IPR, but might be more prone to debris without a filter upstream in the pump. I'll just put a new one in it and be done with it.
