I have changed the lower mounts on the IC for the last time I hope! LOL! I cut these brackets out of a piece of 4"x4"x 1/4" angle, and the IC is mounted to the core support only now. There is a piece of 3/8" thick rubber between the IC mount and bracket, and again it is bolted to the bracket, not tight, just snug, to keep the IC from moving back toward the condenser. I had to do it that way because as you can see in some of the pics the front of the plastic mounting point is broken off on each side because it is from a wrecked truck.
This thread is going to be full of pics of me mounting that stupid thing six different ways to Sunday! LOL!

Dang, you've got that thing mounted low and far to the front!! How much room do you have in the engine bay to get to the IC boot clamp on the IC? lol I always end up having to cut that lower portion of the hood latch support off so I can slide the IC farther forward and then have to cut the hood latch release handle and bend it b/c the IC is hitting it.

I bent the lower condenser mounts back a little and straightened the hood latch support bar so it is back closer to the condenser. I mounted it as low as I could to keep from cutting so much of the piece that the radiator bolts to. It's not way too far forward, but I did have to trim just a little of the header panel around the tanks on each side of the IC. It is what it is now. I'm not moving the damn thing again! LOL!!!

LOL. Gotcha. I've tried straightening out that dang support bracket, but the IC still hit the way I mount them.. When I get done, the top of the IC is usually about 1/8-1/4" past where the support goes down. Right on. So how much room do you have to tighten down that clamp on the IC?

There is probably none to spare, but I think it will be ok.

That's what I did Travis. I cut the brace off of the hood latch and mounted the IC as high as I could and as close to the condenser as possible

It looks like you may have to cut the inside of the core support to be able to be boots and a clamp on.

Both of mine were hard to get clamps on but it can be done. Hang in there Bill, I usually have to do things several times before it stays put.

Looking good Bill. I had to do things a couple times too on my build. Nothing like a little trial and error to learn by. Keep it up buddy.
