Been pulling this trailer like this for 2 years. Never been in accident ever in my life.
Just when this thread was getting back on track... I appreciated your apologies for what you said and owning up to it was big of you. Now you're talking craziness again. Sorry, that's how I see it.

Oh boy I am glad that you don't live around my family because that is extremely dangerous , that trailer weighs more than your ex. If you have to quick stop in the rain that trailer will push you and jack knife your rig.
I will not even get into what the DOT will do to you if they happen to stop you at a commercial vehicle check point.

+1 on that... it's been an entertaining thread. Don't think you'll find anyone that would be against those trailer brakes getting back to working condition. Just cause you can doesn't mean you should.
But it got me thinking... wonder if the Space Shuttle had 'trailer' brakes when that Tundra was towing it.

Entertaining, yep, and long ago became a big waste of my time. I think some people just can't be helped... we all started to help the OP again after his apology and then this nonsense about towing 14,000 lbs and not using trailer brakes. I'm signing off.
7k empty but with tools. Up to 14k lbs loaded. Have ebc green stuff pads that help out a lot. When my trailer is between 10k and 14k I have to plan every stop far in advance.

I'll probably get reported/docked/pinged for this, But I really don't care, this has to be said.
I hope I never have the misfortune to be near you when you have to jam the brakes and run over some poor kid in a small car or you roll your rig. Worked too many years on the road and picked too many dead ones up off the road, out of ditches etc...

Well that was uncalled for. Got anything else to say?
