I have 6 inches between frame where bump stop is and where the bump stop hits. I'm not sure but u thought the x leafs only give you a hair more lift then the v. Sounds like you got the wrong leafs! How did all your other mesurments come out?
I've read that Ford likes to change their part numbers on springs when they feel like it. It sure seems like your car is sitting way to high if those really are X-code springs.
Did you swap the rear springs at the same time? What did you put in the rear? Is the car sitting level? Meaning did the rear springs raise the car as much as these mysterious fronts did?
Wonder if you got some leafs off a 2 wheel drive f450. They have way more arch to them to fit the u shaped axle. Those leafs are not right at all. You have a 6 inch lift on there now

Are those the stock shackles?
Did not swap the rear springs. Only doing the front for now. They are brand new stock shackles for a excursion from my local ford stealer.
Is that the part number you order but does it match the number on the leaf springs? The parts guy could have grabbed the wrong part
Part numbers match perfectly all three are the same numbers. The shackles are identical to the onces that came off my truck that are for a ford excursion. There is no doubt in my mind that I have x code springs. My concern is that I truely believe that no one has done an x code swap ever before. If all my parts are matching part numbers and my truck is all stock then how can I have so much lift than anyone has ever had before. Not to sound like an ******* but that's what I'm thinking went wrong.
That's the only explanation. If the facts I'm presenting are true which they are. Then how can I get 6 inches of lift from only one part, x code springs.

Uh oh, hear that? That's all the experts who have done X code swaps leaving the room.
There are so many threads about the fact that what is stamped on the springs isn't reliable, that Ford changes their numbers periodically, etc.
There had to be something unique about your Excursion (something bent, wrong shackles, wrong springs, extra leafs in the springs, different arch, something). Better pics would help of the front suspension and ones showing the stance of the car now.
Given how many people have successfully put X-code springs on their Excursions, the issue is with yours, not theirs.
For example, with used springs (I know yours are new but bear with me), you cannot rely on whatever is stamped on the springs. The only reliable way to know exactly what type of used spring you are getting is to have the opportunity to see the door pillar sticker and check the spring code. I'm just saying again saying that what is stamped on the springs is not always reliable.
If you really have X code springs, then something else is wrong, which seems likely, given your story of how the mechanic butchered the install.
