The fabtech lift I had on my super duty was nice because it had multiple options for the 5.5 lift and 8. What ever option you go I would get both pitman arm and drop bracket from the same company for the same lift.
That's going to be harder to do now that he's created a custom lift. He needs to measure from center of hub to bottom of fender then rely on the good people here on FTE to give him accurate measurements on a stocker. That will determine the amount of lift he has before playing the guessing game.
I didn't know it had a lift. The woman I bought if from told me the mods she did. A lift wasn't one of them. Unless it was dealer installed when she bought it new? I have all the paperwork and receipts since the day she bought it. There wasn't a receipt for a lift.
Ok, I can understand that. But you couldn't tell by looking at your Ex that the suspension had been modified? In all your years of driving, have you never seen an Excursion that sat lower (a LOT lower) than yours and that made you think, "Hmmmm, that guy's Ex is sitting lower compared to mine."
I dunno, maybe it's obvious to me that you should have mentioned it or posted a pic of your rig first, instead of accusing people of lying about the X code mod they've done to their Excursion.

I've never seen another 4x4 excursion. Just lots of of 2wd's with Mexican women driving them. My father has a 2wd 04 ex that feels like I'm riding on the ground. Just thought 4x4 ex's say this high. The last few sets of shocks I bought were for a stock excursion and never had a problem.
It's 17 inches fully compressed and 27 inch fully extended for the front shocks. Measurements are done for the front shocks just need to know the bolt hole size for the eyes. I'm trying to order these right now so they will ship out ASAP.

My concern is that I truely believe that no one has done an x code swap ever before.

There had to be something unique about your Excursion
Given how many people have successfully put X-code springs on their Excursions, the issue is with yours, not theirs.

There are four reasons I can think of right now as to why you're having problems:
1. Ford drastically changed the specs of the spring part number you ordered, because you did indeed order an X code.
2. Your invoice shows the correct part number, but the spring is the incorrect part.
3. Something is out of whack with your front end.
4. Your mechanic is doing something wrong.
We're trying really hard to help you out. And like I said above, I know you're probably really frustrated, but keep in mind, it's not a good idea to call the people who have done this mod for many years, liars.

Stock? That Ex looks to be sitting higher than one that has had the X code mod done to it.
No friggen wonder he's been having problems.

Most folks take your statement about the women that drive X's in your town as racist. The world is now a PC place!
The folks here always help! Know more about X's than most experts. They do not take kindly to being called liars or the use of Stealerships in reference to Dealerships.
I hope you get it all sorted and correct before you drive it long distances.
I am just amazed that this thread went this way! In the short time I have been a FTE member, this is the 2nd thread I have seen that went south.
