Nope. Even if she did put drop brackets then the ones I took out should be longer than the ones I just purchased to do the Xcode swap. I like new everything when I do something.

You have got to please take a BUNCH of pictures of your front end, from different angles. And please make sure you aren't so close that we can't discern possible angle problems with a part when it's viewed in relation to other front end items items.

Did you happen to take pictures of the new springs side by side with the old springs? Do you still have the old springs?

Going to the shop Monday morning. He's closed today and Sunday. Will get lots of pictures Monday morning. The Ranger is down right now so I have to use one of the cars off the car lot.

Be sure to follow up and make sure mechanic left spring bolts loose until axle was supporting load of vehicle.

What is that going to do?the whole axle is moved to one side by about 5 inches from the trac bar pulling it over.

Think it may be to late for this since your axles have shifted...

If he torqued everything with vehicle up in the air, this would create a resistance and not allow for vehicle weight to line everything up. Front eye on springs tq to 203lbs rear eye to 185lbs. These values would carry the weight of the truck. That would be a possible explanation of why you thought the springs gave you more of a lift than expected.
That is all I'm saying...

Even if he said he did it with the weight of the Ex on the springs, MAKE him loosen the bolts and re-torque with all four wheels on the ground.

Old shackles are bent too. Twisted leaf springs from the accident. That's why I bought new shackles.
