Thank you so much for the help, and yes I joined FTE just to ask you a question so I should have put you as a reference. You think these truck have any more value than their weight in steel? I want someone to take it that wants it rather than taking it to the scrap yard. THANKS agian!
Big trucks are a specialized market, so only a few will be interested. I'd stick it on craigslist and see what the response will be.
I have a 70's Ford F250 that I would like to have the VIN decoded on. I am interested to find out what the drivetrain is... Engine, trans, transfer case, axles... axles and engine mostly.

I need help decoding a vin number. It's a step van.
Would like to restore this van but without the propper information can't do this.
Chassis is ford i think and the body a grumman olson.
There is no side on the internet that is able to decode 11 digit.
Thanks for the help. I posted some picture in my album. Maybe you can have a better look at the vin placard. Or this is my email harveykoeiman@hotmail.com.
Been trying to find a way to read my Vin # but have not found it yet.
Wondering if someone can help me out with it. If I go by what I find stuff does not match up.
I do know it was sold as a Cab Chassis truck then turned into a sleeper and hauler bed truck. It has the 240 HP 7.8 motor turned up RT6610 Road Ranger 10 speed, 4.56 rearend. 1FDXT84A1HVA59821

Thanks I see it shows 1988 but is titled as a 1987. Guess it was because of it being finished up somewhere else? Does the Vin # also show you what rear end and gears it has? Of is that on the numbers below the S/N #?

TRANS & AXLE codes printed on Certification Label.
NO you did a great job and thankful for the help. Was just wondering if the string of numbers below the SN was for the paint, axles and other stuff on the truck? Just got in a Specification book for a 1989 model. And I need to look though it and find out the rest of the info.
Again thanks for the time and help. Its priceless as your willing to take time to do this for people.
