Right now I'm on about 1525 calories with 155 gr's carbs, 115 gr's protein, and 28 gr's of fiber. The new diet is LCHF (low carb high fat). It is suppose to change my body from burning sugar to burning fat. I have not been keeping track of fat but from what I understand I am looking at a ratio of 75% fat, 15% protein, and 10% carbs.
I did some on line calculators and my ideal weight is 150 lbs. Last time I weighed I was 178 so I need to loose aprox. 30 lbs. For my ideal weight I should have 85 gr's of protein a day. And to get to that weight it says I should eat 1685 calories a day to loose 1 pound a week.
So it looks like I need a diet with 425 gr's fat, 85 gr's protein, 57 gr's carbs. That is going to take some doing. Foods suggested so far are butter, sour cream, heavy cream, and olive oil. Not sure I can do it, but I am spending the time looking into it.
I will probably gain 10 lbs this week, with sitting in class all day and eating like a king.
For mother's day I bought Julie a treadmill, a fancy one with a computer that has internet, and it works with google earth, so she can pick a trail and walk it, and it will match the terrain somewhat except for downhill, while she watches it on the screen. She is down to her target weight, but I am betting, that with her dedication and drive and how she is watching her weight, she will loose even more weight.
Now.. when I get home, I hope to be able to use it as well.
