He's been lights out all year. The stars must have aligned last night, 'cuz no matter how good a pitcher is throwing it takes the whole team to make a perfect game happen.
Have to love it as a baseball fan, and props to Buster Posey for handling the game from behind the plate.
Unfortunately I did not get to see it, as I had the cable turned off on the 1st. (Internet goes on the 18th) as I am moving. Only have two more days to get all my cra... I mean stuff out of here. That is cool that Matt got a perfect game.
Those helo videos are cool, next time I need a bottle opened, I'll call that pilot.
Well it's Friday and I'll be home this morning with the painter (yeah I'm getting lazy in my old age)...he's a great guy and I can't complain about the price or the quality!
Hope everyone has a great day...the weekend is upon us and it is going to be HOT here in Indiana!
Looks like that project up at Lake Crowley may be in jeopardy. I got the soils report from the owner (wish I'd seen it sooner), and it's not just as simple as digging a foundation and pouring the concrete. The soil in that area is incapable of supporting the proposed structure. Per the soils report all footings and piers must be over excavated to a depth of 2 feet below the base of the footing (5 ft) and 5' laterally, then backfilled and compacted, then we can dig the footings, lay a stabilization barrier on the bottom, add and compact 12" of 3/4' gravel, lay another barrier and another 12" of 3/4" gravel, the pour the footings. So, we're looking at removing, then backfilling and compacting 450+ cubic yards of material before even beginning to build the foundation. I talked to the soils guy yesterday just to be sure I didn't miss an "if" or an "and" somewhere in the report, but I didn't. He said the groundwater is so high and the soil is so poor that basically what we're trying to do there is build a boat. A rented backhoe and my little compactor are a joke...we're talking excavation/engineering company to come out and prep the site. I don't think the owner is going to be able to survive a hit like that. I feel bad for the guy.
