I was the RP (Reporting Party) for this call. I crested the Conejo grade going NB, came around the corner and found a lexus bounced off the CD (Center Divider) and was in MY LANE! I slammed on the brakes, was about to continue on, then realized the driver wasnt moving. At least not that I could see. The usual reaction is to get out of the vehicle. So I pulled over, reported the accident, and backed up to the vehicle. I made contact with the driver who was A/Ox4 (now do you get it lol?) I asked her to step out of the vehicle and move toward my truck, for her safety. We awaited LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) arrival in front of my truck. Oxnard PD passing by in the NB lane and pulled over. Shortly after I saw a CHP car cresting the hill in a traffic break formation. He pulled over and the OPD officer kept the traffic at bay.

CHP got in the Lexux SUV and tried to drive it off to the right shoulder. Nope. He tried to get it in gear, out of gear nothing worked. Except the grinding of gears. The drive line was locked and not budging. So he tell me to get in, and he will push me. So he gets in his cruiser and uses the push bar to push the SUV off to the side while I steer. So thats what the push bars are for... Apparently her SUV "blew up."

 

A/Ox4. Don't get it. A stands for alert or awake? Don't know what the /Ox4 stands for.

A/Ox1-4 = Able to answer to 1-4 questions of Person, Time, Place, Event

Its pronounced "A and O times 4"

Its a crude scale used for rapid assessment. There is a more exact scale, that is the GCS score, or Glasgow Coma Scale. You can score from a 3 to 15 on the GCS. 3 is completely unresponsive, 15 is fully responsive.

The GCS scale has three aspects. Eyes, Verbal, and Motor. You can get up to 4 points for eyes, 5 for Verbal, and 6 for motor, depending on your response. For example, GCS of 3 would be, does not open eyes when spoken to, or stimulated, does not respond verbally when spoken to or stimulated, and does not move when spoken to or stimulated.

We had a great time at Lake Casitas this weekend. I did a drop off at Burbank this afternoon and did some sweating as I drove into the parking structure.

Guy at the lot 'What cha got in the back'?

Me sheepishly ' it's full of camping gear'.

Guy at the lot 'will it fall out if I open the back?"

Me, 'Yeah, probably'

My son in law, 'dude, what about all those ammo boxes full of ...

Hahaha this reminds me of the time when my mom drove the X to a meeting in LA (back when we first got it and she was the main driver). The guy said it was all clear with the roof, and would not hit....and he was right, except all of a sudden quicha!!!! shatter!!! the antenna smacked the fluorescent lights, and they shattered all over the car. For some reason there was no guard over the lights so the antenna just would whip and break them.....she broke like 7 or so and the guy tried to blame her, but he did say she was clear, she didn't have to pay for them. Hahaha the way she tells the story still cracks me up
