I've got a couple old Stanleys, I think I need to bring them to you for evaluation.
Did you make those wooden block planes?
I didn't make any of them. But I've put a lot of tuneup work into all of the ones I keep.
I would like to see your Stanleys. You can figure out what type and date they are by using this flowchart, assuming they are Bailey pattern: Plane Dating Flowchart 1-20
That's the fun part about collecting these. Everyone has one or a few laying around their garage that belonged to grandpa or uncle Zeke.
It may have been a nice, clear ride last night, but it really sucked this afternoon. We cruised up to Chatsworth to hand over the chapter banner to Trey so he can take it to the F100 WestNats next Sunday (Dave was there too). I'm pretty much convinced that it's impossible to go anywhere in the LA basin between 8 am and 8 pm. Only good thing about it, the ride back was worse.
I've got a 4x4 shaped wood plane and a very narrow 1/2 inch wide wood body one .. both vintage pieces.. fireplace mantel art ..large 2 screw clamp too all wood.. not sure if thats a period one or a repo..
Spending time on the boat while putting the finishing touches on the Long Beach house ..damn i'll be glad to finish that place..
Was wondering how much you guys think I could sell my OEM rims for. I haven't gotten any other rims but once I do I wanna sell the current OEM ones to help offset the cost.
