Dusty's truck show filled up, when we walked over there it was I think 5 rows and each row had probably 35-40 trucks in it. The classic car show was a lot smaller I think those guys had probably 65-70 total, I forgot to ask before I left. My truck won "Ugly Truck Contest" and I got a big *** trophy!
On a side, I just want to say I am thankful that I am not responsible for keeping Josh fed, the boy has got an appetite
Wait. When did that truck in the background show up? I don't remember seeing it when I was there.
Wish I could have stayed longer but I got home just in time to take a nap, and tidy up a bit before my Mum came over to spend the night. I cooked a roast last night for her, and I'm about to fry up some bacon and eggs, and maybe some hash, if I have it.
Whats everyone's schedule like the next couple of Weeks? Thinking 17 or 18, 24 or 25 for the FTE dinner. City BBQ in Garner. Then we can start traveling east and west, north and south again for Dinner. Figure we need to get out to see Tony, Larry, Matt, and Sparky, plus the rest of the outliers. I know traveling distances will be easier once James has the Buell back up and riding. My goal after the one ton is to get the 919 going to use for dinner runs around the state.

Way to go on the trophy. It is nice when you don't have to make sure it is all shinny & win.

Sorry to say I did not make the show. Stayed home and worked on my truck.
As for the dates during the week sorry to say does not work for me because of my work hours.

Josh that truck was there before I got there, it was there all day. But he was on the other side of the orange cones in the parking area, not the show area. No idea why! Why would you have a 1930-ish Model A truck and not show it off?
Dave I didn't have to make it shiny but brother I cleaned for 4 hours. And even then I still I didn't get a chance to wipe down the black mildew crap from the door jambs. I really need to start cleaning the truck more than once per year
I'll be out of town starting tomorrow (18th) and coming back into town Saturday the 27th. So I may miss this months dinner. But if I do then I am going to make Sherry take me to City BBQ for Fathers Day, fair is fair and I think if everyone gets to go I should too!
That may be the night that we're celebrating Gale's moms 80th birthday. I'll have to check. But don't change it on account of me. Do what's best for the group.
I'm posting here mostly to get subscribed to this thread. Maybe I can shoot for the June dinner. Sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. Wednesday nights are band practice nights for me, so I know this week will be a no-go for me. I am, however, planning to travel to Concord on Thursday for the 1st annual Ford Performance Fan Day, so I guess I've got that going for me
