Monthly Dinner

NCHeavymetal and myself are trying to come up with a way to draw a lager group for a meal on a monthly basis. This is an effort to reach out and get some ideas from other members to see what it would take to get some participation to make the group of attendees larger. Maybe put some faces with the screen names. Since Feb. we have joined together once a month to have a meal after work somewhere and No one seems to be interested. I would like to meet more people from the N.C. Chapter. So far we have had some great BBQ and very good conversations. We welcome anyone interested to join in and lets become the Strongest State Chapter in the F.T.E. club. We are open for about anywhere we can get to when it comes to location. We both live kinda close to one another but hey, We ain't Skeerd to jump on our bikes and put some miles on them either. If anyone wants to get together and break bread with some fellow members then let us know.
The preceding measage was brought to you by the F.T.E. dinner club.

Good timing. Probably weren't reaching our entire group just posting in the motorbike thread.

All members feel free to make suggestions. Even if all can't make one we'd still like to see folks getting together and sharing their stories.

Looks like I and (possibly WP) will be heading to Lexington next Thursday.

Speedy's BBQ: SPEEDY'S Barbecue - Lexington, NC {Best BBQ in the USA} @ 7pm

Hope that get's some central NC chapter members interested. I'm riding two hours one way just to eat BBQ. Maybe that will encourage others to come out and join us.

I'm checking room rates in the area this weekend to see if I can find a cheaper price for next thursday night, No sense riding all the way there to ride back to Smithfield then go right back past it on friday again on the way to Glendale Springs for the holiday weekend. Also got some info for a poker run starting at 11:30 monday morning at Wilkesboro H-D.For the weekend I'm gonna head up NC 16 through Millers Creek and probably stop off at the Moonshine Inn at the top of the mountain before you get to the BRP. See Andrea and some friends there I don't get to see often enough. I will give a more definate yes or no later this weekend. If so we will need to agree on a place to meet up and head out. Maybe the Fairgrounds, since that is the only place I know how to find up there. LOL. More to follow. James I hope you and the family have a great weekend.

No passenger for this ride. So yes. And looking more like rain as the week progesses.

I'll be leaving from work Thursday in enough time to make it to Speedy's by 7pm. I'll need to leave Lexington around 8:30. Probably take 64 there and slab 40 on the way back.

So what time do I need to be in Raleigh to meet up with you before I get left behind? LOL. I got a room so I don't have to worry about the ride back, Sorry, But I would love to get out and get a ride in from the Motorbike Club. Just makes more sense than going back and forth. Just let me know. I'm in.

Success! Had an enjoyable dinner with friends last night. Put 198 miles on the bike between bojangle's and home. So, will we ride 200 miles for BBQ? The answer is yes. Hope to see some other members at the next one.

Hope yall have a good memorial day weekend.

Agreed, James thanks for letting us in on the information on the get together. I really don't know how Speedy's could expect one person to finish off the plate of BBQ. It was great to meet Tony in person, and boy what a nice truck he brought for us to admire. Just got back into town today and had a great weekend. I will look forward to next month's dinner and hope we get some more members involved. Till June's dinner be safe and live life to the fullest.

Great to meet you also. I agree about the BBQ. Thanks for the comments about the truck but you were looking at it from a distance.LOL You and James have great looking rides. If I keep coming to these gtg's I may need to get another bike.. Diesel cost me almost three times what the BBQ did.LOL I may drive the ranger next time.. Glad you had a good time over the holiday. Hope to see ya'll soon.

Anyone Interested for June?

June has arrived and we have plenty of time for planning. So is anyone else interested in a dinner later this month. May showed we are serious about traveling outside of our home area. So if anyone wants to get together and enjoy the company of other Chapter Members give us a shout and lets get something planed.

So when does the v-twin bagger bbq crew ride again? I need my fix.

If no one else chimes in soon I have a suggestion.
