Alright Josh, groom that lawn.
I'll get the stuff for a batch of beans and make them Friday so they can set overnight and be ready to go in the smoker Saturday morning.
I'll bring a few armful's of Hickory Wood. If we need more cooking area I can get my smoker loaded up, but I think your smoker is about the same size as the one I have.
Speaking about grills n smokers, I better get off of here and get the ash cleaned out of mine so I can get dinner started shortly. Montreal Steak, and Bacon wrapped shrimp (Large Shrimp)!

Now don't be expecting those niceties at my house like pillows on the chairs and such. There has been no 'woman's touch' at my house in a long time. families are welcome, but I don't have a lot to entertain kids, besides video games and Netflix. Actually, nix the video games, I don't think I have any kids can play. I'm enlisting Bob to help with the smoking of the meat, as he has more experience with a smoker, so ya'll don't have to trust the skinny guy on the pork.
I'll look to see if I can have a fire pit out there by the weekend. Even if it's a store bought one. Fire is always a good thing to have.
I don't think we're gonna be able to make it out for this one, we're trying to go to the Hollerin' Heritage festival over at Spivey's Corner on the 12th, and my car club also has our monthly cruise-in that day.
here is what we sell, The Fireplace Radiator, Fireplace Radiator Blower-Heater - Chimney Keepers
The grate thing is nice but the blower will move some heat.. (which is faster a powerboat or sail boat) hint,, power....
not going to be able to make sat deal.. late game at 6pm,, state vs kentucky football..

Carl,
I actually originally planned to go with a blower style system, though the ones I found were quite a bit more expensive than this setup, which looks like it would easily perform as well as the more expensive systems. However during my on-line research, I found that my particular home wouldn't benefit much from the two-thousand dollar plus blower systems that I was seeing. The wood burning fire place in my house is located in a basement den, which isn't open to the rest of the house. But then I never ran across this setup, which I think I probably would have gone with, considering the prices listed. Here is the before and after pictures of the chimney. What do you think, did it need the work? Was it unsafe to use? http://s278.photobucket.com/user/ben...ws%20Fireplace

I got the stuff to make a batch of beans, I'll make that this evening. Josh what time do you want me out at your place tomorrow? I'll load up some Hickory wood, my spray bottle of Apple Juice to keep the meat moist. Do you have a metal water pan for your smoker? If not I'll try to remember to bring one.
Alrighty, I have a few arm loads of Hickory wood loaded (Josh you can have what we don't use, I laodded more than enough) Water pan, and dry rub, spray bottle and juice, I'll do in the morning, hope I don't forget it.
Beans are prepped, and I'm ready for a plate of it just smelling it set there.
I sure had a nice time yesterday. We had some great food, and it's always nice seeing everybody. And Josh for putting up with all of us.
There was no snacking on my end for the rest of the day.
9 people in total. All contributed and the food was great. Thank you to Bob and Marty for helping me hold down those chairs while the meat smoked for 10 hours. I think the first Carolina Truck Enthusiasts smoke out was a success, even with an English guy cooking Pork Carolina style
James, I want that Coleslaw recipe, I think it matched the pork perfectly, and was just the right blend. And I will say, the brownies were good for breakfast this morning.
I wanted to thank you all for coming, and to James and ***** for their persistence in getting this group together.
Next time though, Ya'll seriously need to stick around and here *****'s playing, he knows how to bend some strings
Oh and who ever got the photo of that spread, send it my way! I need it for the collection!
Guitars would have to come out earlier. I did have my cheap Yamaha in the truck, but the yawning got closer and closer.
Food really was good
I'll see if I can get that picture loaded.
