I didn't follow the link, but I've eaten at Stamey's in Greensboro and loved it. I'm a "normal business hours" employee, so a lunch G2G would be awfully hard for me to make.

If that day doesn't work post up and we'll change it.
So, tonight's dinner location sits right next to a Cabelas? This is going to be an expensive evening.

right next to a Cabelas?
Yep. But they close at 8pm so you might want to go shopping first.

As too often happens, plans change. My son says he has a headache, and it pouring cats and dogs here and only looks like it's going to get worse. Dinner would be a 1hr 15min drive on a good day for me, and I don't feel like fighting the conditions and putting my boys at risk trying to make it there in time in flash flood conditions. Maybe next time.

Great dinner as usual. And as usual it's the company that's better than the food. And the food was delicious. We all missed Bob and gave him heck.

Sorry you couldn't make it Matt.

Waved at Wesley heading out.

My alternator took a dump and huge thanks to Dustin for following me home. Truck died on the way. He was able to charge my battery just enough to get me to my driveway. Whew.

Changed it out and put a new belt on. Took it for a shake down run. Seems to be good to go. Battery may have been taken a hit. Got some residue around the left cap. Might replace it tomorrow.

See y'all soon.

James, I've replaced a lot of alternators, where the battery was still fine. Wipe it down with a clean rag, pop the caps and add a little distilled water. You want it to be about a 1/4 in from the top I believe. You can look in the holes with a light, as long as the acid looks pretty clear it should be good to go. If it's dark, it means the plates are starting to break down, If that's happened it may be a good idea to look into a new battery.

Dinner was great, food was good, company was excellent.

Thanks Josh. I'll do that this evening and see if it's salvageable.

Whether we have two or twelve, our dinners are a lot of fun. I know we have some newish folks. I highly encourage yall to try to make one if you can.
I think it's what makes our chapter so great is that we personally know almost everyone that posts. Not just a bunch of folks sitting behind a keyboard.

Heading North-West in June for our Va friends and Western Chapter Members.
