Well Low and Slow was pretty good. I will say my ribs were tasty but not as tender as I would expect. I liked the alligator nuggets appetizer and I got everybody, including Dusty, to try one. I think bottom line, on the way out, somebody said "good food but Redneck is better".
I was telling FuzzFace yesterday about a new BBQ restaurant I saw, but I could not remember where I saw it. It just came to me. It's a new BBQ place in Benson on 242, right next to the Char Grill, in the front of the parking lot of the Jordana Pizza place where we had the Halloween Cruise-In. I can't remember the name of the place, they already put the sign up, although it is not open yet and the building is still under construction. Once it is open we should get together and give it a try.
LOL yesterday the wife & I took the pick up to Char Grill for dinner and because Harnet Cruisers did not have anything going on, was a few weeks earlier, I did not swing in to the parking lot.
Yes will have to give it a try.
Think they have their cruise on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
I have from 3pm to 7pm? Could go then and hang with them & dinner as I should be able to make it on weekends or Friday, week days is tuff for me.
But dont let me stop the group for going.

The cruise-in at Jordana's was last weekend, the 16th, so yes that would have been the third Saturday. They did a special event starting at 3pm so they could cruise past one of their members house, who is recovering from some medical illnesses. But normally it is scheduled to start at 5pm. However I think they probably get there an hour early at least, most times.
I like that idea, make our monthly dinner to occur with their cruise in and try out the new BBQ place at the same time. Plus we can check out some old cars etc.
I don't think we've had a monthly dinner in more than a year, and probably a year before that one too.
I'm planning to go check out Pik-n-Pig for lunch on April 8, they rebuilt after the fire and have been open now for at least a month. So if you are interested...

Well I can say "Been there done that" now.
It would have been nice if not so cold and rainy.
They had a good crowd, about an hour wait for 8 of us, for such a bad weather day.
Did you see they are only open Thur to Sun 11am to 4pm must do pretty good for them 4 days.

I did see that. I wondered if it was more or less seasonal, like as it gets more into summer are they going to be open the full week, or extend hours into suppertime?
I was a little bummed that they didn't have ribs, but I will say the pulled pork was very tender and tasty. Andy and Cathy across from me kept saying how great the brisket was, but I didn't have any to try.
I had the beef and Mary the chicken and both were also tender.
I was talking to one of our drivers and he was happy to hear it is open again.
He also said if they have ribs they go pretty quick but I did not see they on the menu?
Maybe a special when they have them?
Come summer between shows Maybe head back out to see if hours / days change?
Yeah I was surprised ribs were not available. But our order was done pretty quickly, maybe they have done like other restaurants post-covid and simplified the menu to make things run quicker with less staff. Just a guess! I am pretty sure the time I went with James ncheavymetal I had ribs.
