I had a great time last night folks. It was nice seeing everyone again and meeting James from Va. I'm really looking forward to the next time. The only thing missing was Unk Bob.

Be Good!
Definitely enjoyed meeting you too, bro. Hopefully I can catch another dinner sooner rather than later
It's like 5 minutes from my house.
Good luck getting WP there. I'll let him explain himself.
I used to eat there 20 years ago. It used to be really good.
I couldn't find a Stevenson's BBQ. Found Stevenson's Hot Dogs.
If it's NEXT week, AND if we can get it within an hour of Topsail, I can probably persuade the Mrs to join me for an NC FTE dinner (provided girls are allowed, of course...)

Think we're going to aim to keep the next one local, as the majority of the group is in the Raleigh area.
However, we do have the two big events coming up. October is camping with the guys at badin. There will be off-roading and fishing, plus there is a shooting range there that is dirt cheap. That's the October camp out. In August we will be heading east to watch Larry race the mud pits, and we'll probably cook out there as well.
Stephenson's on hwy 50 near McGees is ok, good not great. Standard fare BBQ about like you'd get at Holt Lake or something like that. Very close to my house though ~5 minutes or so.

Totally understandable; no worries! If I'm not able to stop by this month, I'm sure I'll be able to on a future one.
The two big events both sound fun, but I get the feeling my social life is about to diminish greatly with the curriculum for Career Switcher looming. It's an 18-week course for which I had to order 9 books. They're not Atlas Shrugged sized books or anything, but still......9 books in 18 weeks sounds pretty demanding.

Have to figure out if there's enough interest and time available next week to try. I might could do next Thursday. Not 100%.
I'll keep posted to see if this materializes....perhaps the Mrs and I could make this one. It's a bit further than an hour, but not by much.

Haven't been to Stephenson's in probably 12-15 years, I barely remember going there.
We get a few more on board we'd be willing to make the run.
"Yes honey. They're safe. I know, an hour is a long way to drive to dinner. I know you saw the photo but really they are nicer in person then they look."
