So it looks like weekends are better for a couple of the new members. And it's always nice to get everyone involved. So one of our members has a car show coming up on the 13th. That's mother's day weekend, but it's still an option. It looks like the show is just off of I-95.
John, what food options are available on the 13th, also, are you entering your truck for one of the contests?
If that date doesn't work for everyone, I don't mind hosting and smoking around an 8-10 lb butt. I'll also put together a cream corn recipe from Texas i've been wanting to try. I can do that on the 20th. I would offer up the 27th, but that's Memorial day weekend, and I'll hopefully be more focused on paint than on the grill. Though I'm not against painting and smoking the same day, would just need extra hands available.
I have the car show on my calendar as it is some what close and be nice to see a show down here as I have not had the chance or time to in the last 2 years being down here.
Other weekend days are open at this time but need to get paint on my project so I can keep moving forward.
Let us know wh a t comes up.

Dave, I think I'll plan on hitting the car show, to see how John does. But the weekend club event probably should be pushed back to June.
So june 3rd, 10, 17, and 24th. What's everyone got going on. Let's here your events or free weekends. I'm open for all at this time. If we can narrow it down a little more, we can start a separate thread for it.

Also, throw up your dates for the may dinner.
The truck club I'm part of is also throwing a truck show at the same place, same day.
John, Dave, Dustin, and Myself will be out at this show at the Truck Stop in Kenly. If anyone else can make it or wants to meet up let me know. We will still have a standard week night dinner this month, which we need dates for. Any body got a suggestion?
City BBQ has been mentioned several times about being good and a place we want to go back to. So if we need a venue, that could work.

This show is not being put on by me and my club, but by my friend's club "East Coast Muscle". I am going to enter my F100 in the "Ugly Truck Contest"
As far as food, nothing to brag about. It's at the 95 Petro Kenly truck stop, they have fast food inside (Wendys Subway and a few others) and no food vendors outside that I am aware of. It's probably not a good place for a get-together dinner but maybe there is a place nearby? I'm not terribly familiar with Kenly and what all is around there.
Sorry for the late response I have not been on here in a good while! Been staying very busy with housework / repairs / honey-do list / spring cleaning as well as car shows: Put on the Strawberry festival car show at 4042, then the next weekend put on a car show for Relay For Life at Lake Benson park in Garner, and then last weekend my club had our annual membership drive fish fry. It looks like we got 3 or 4 new couples that are planning to join so I'd call that a success although the weather was pretty cool and rainy and everybody was about miserable after 2 hours out there!
