Interest in this kind of stuff?
I would assume many polish glass but will share with those who have not. Been doing it prob 40 yrs.
i found foam pad 3m compound with my air buffer works best. Just like paint glass that is over 50 yrs old it’s near impossible to make look new just cleaning.
These are original windows from my Orange 427 Truck. Simply amazing how well they turn out. Cars going back many yrs if at show have gotten many comments about where did I get NOS glass. I would just say. Just cleaned it good...
these date coded 5J or September 1965. Truck very early October build.
happen to have NOS vent glass. February 1966.
so what kind of 3m compound do you use? is it a glass specific polish? i'd like to try it on my mustang

i do have a glass specific polish for fine scratches but the 3m stuff is for getting them perfectly clean. It will not remove much in scratches. I use same compound on paint, plastic, chrome, glass etc. works awesome on plastic headlights.
Randy, how do you like your air polisher and what brand is it? I'm in the market for a new polisher and really thinking about the DeWalt. It has slow start, variable control **** and variable trigger. Reviews for it don't seem too bad.

I love the Air Polisher prob had it 40yrs now its the old style Chicago Pneumatic back when they were made in Japan. Run it at 100 psi max rpm 2000 but will go to zero. Total control and very light weight. When I have critical stuff to polish I always use it. Lots of air with bulky hose but its my go to for many different uses. I also have a Makita Sander-Polisher Its gotta be 30 yrs old or seems like it, it has lasted 10 x longer than any other Electric I have used. I have tried all the brands the DeWalt was worst ever, never again. Also have a Milwaukee its also great but a bit heavy for a old fart to handle.
So may new models out for Polishing its hard to know but some of the new ones have double action and are supposed to work well. About due to try another new one but both the Air CP and Makita zero issues. 2nd longest lasting was a Black & Decker but that is many years ago now. Makita I have is also Japan. Seems Japan built units 10x better than the China junk.
For polishing especially completes I have found that using proper materials saves at least 50% of time and one gets a better end result.
Last week I had looked into a new style polisher for doing Eco2 but my head spun at all the this is the best . . .Forgot which one I was leaning towards.
