Because of wheel fitment issues I pulled the dropped beams, installed the stock ones so I could install my dream wheel which were custom made. Because I could only get wheels with bolt pattern smaller than the stock 5 x 5.5 I opted for better brakes too. These busy AZ freeways are not kind to not being able to stop.
The 540" Twin Turbo Boss9 build:
Have pretty much what's needed to finish including the heavy wall stainless to build the Turbo Manifolds/Headers
Awaiting final machine work on block and balancing. Should be done hopefully this week.
Couldn't help but notice the odd placement of the vacuum advance can. I assume that you are using crank triggered / coil on plug ignition and the vacuum advance can is for vacuum variable cam timing?
On a serious note...Really like those tall pent roof Mercury valve covers, as well as everything else in the pictures. Congratulations on your daughters wedding. Three weeks is over 500 hours. Plenty of time.
Awesome work, as usual. I don’t believe that I have ever seen dual tbi’s on an engine. Is it difficult to get them to work together? Please keep the pics coming. Thanks.

the vacuum advance is there to keep projected oil pressure on target. It will be run by the pcm thru the primary side vacuum circuit of the secondary throttle body.
In reality there is only 50 minutes per day avail for 23 more days. Less week days. So it’s simply not happening. It will need to be the ‘66 no paint ranger or gasp: the ‘56 Chevy as it’s only thing close to done.

the Dual Quad EFI system is way over my pay grade but gotta be easier than the 540 boss Engine will be!
All the goodies are inside of primary unit.
Plan is to run a 1000 HP mechanical pump that will feed a reservoir with a hidden high pressure pump inside. So fuel to mechanical pump then in line to EFI pump then line to TB’s. Return line back to reservoir then a return line back to tank from reservoir.
Most difficult part will Be fuel system. Rest is plug n play. Turn key, start engine after inputting base stuff like cu in, desired idle etc.

Always thinking outside the box (or Slick, in this case). That is why I enjoy all your posts, even the ones with a Chevy in the picture. Keep those updates coming.
