Rented a 2018 f-150, a Mustang convertible with the ecoboost and a Mustang GT. All cool. All would have paled in comparison to what you've got there. I spent some of my free time in Flagstaff and the Salt River area.

Gotta be going on 10 yrs since I bought this truck. Prob around 30,000 miles since then even though its been parked for many of those years torn apart
That is certainly some very nice sheetmetal on that truck. I'm happy with the minimal rust on my CA truck but that's thing is unbelievable.

Yeah, parts of Arizona and New Mexico are more rust-free than a lot of California.

Randy, I noticed you had to mod your engine stand, too. I also made up a couple of longer "wings" since the stock ones were too damn short. Now I can bolt up to just about anyplace.

I wanted to do similar mod but no materials on hand. 300.00 min order for delivery. Nothing to haul on my own.
I do have a much better OTC stand that fits about anything. Keeping it open for boss 9 build.
Plasma cutter was handy so modded Quick. Lol

Chad, which pic were you referring to? I thought you were referring to pic with doors on stands but don’t see that pic.

There is a Metal Supermarkets location down in Kent. They are pretty good to deal with, no minimums and they give me some of their smaller scraps at times or they will let me rummage around in their scrap bins sometimes, too.

Looks like they have a location in PHX, too.

Phoenix (Southwest)

Ok, Got it!

That engine stand is the big $$ OTC I bought way back in 1975. That is the way it was built. Total adjustable and very very high quality. Fits anything. It even has roller bearings in the wheels and a stop no move feature for torquing like 385 Ford engine bolts so the stand will not move. It was 227.00 way back in 1975! Would not sell it now for 1000.00

There are places I can buy remnants too. I thought you were talking about the stands I recently modified. Just cheapies from Oriellys that I use for door stands. Will post a few pics.

I did get a quote a month or so ago from metal supermarkets but they were double the cost of another place I use.

So, when my son and I stopped by to pick up the C/S inserts (last November??) you gave us the full tour. My son was wowed by your work (no doubt me too). He wants to know where you were hiding the Cheby. Nice to see you posting again.

My memory is toast as to what veh was where when you stopped by. Was the orange truck in main shop? The '56 Cheby actually belongs to a good friend of mine. He has been helping me for over 20yrs.
We did his entire 56 at my place to return the favor of him helping me. He also bought shop tools etc when the time arose like the Go~Jacks. The car is stored here if I have a spot if not its at his place.
He lives about 70 miles away. All that's left is the final buff~detail and to hook up A/C lines and charge system.

It was good you stopped by to visit! R

Yes, orange truck was in the main shop and you were still just talking about tearing apart your daughter's wreck for a future build. No doubt you've been busy since then.

Then the Cheby was in "other" garage. Will show it to you next time you stop by. (as long as you promise not to tell anyone I have a cheby floating around here)
