It’s interesting timing that I ran across this thread. I was cleaning out my parents garage when I came across this funnel.

Want to sell it?

If so, why not give the guys on this list first crack at it.

I hadn't thought about selling it. If it's worth something to someone here, I would consider selling. PM me if interested.

I'm just suggesting that you don't just throw it away before someone gets a chance to make inquiry.

Someone here may need one.

To get an idea of their value, look at the ones listed on eBay.

They're pretty handy to use and easy to repair if your felt on the inside is missing.

Sean, what is this felt of which you speak? Mine's just a funnel.

There's supposed to be a felt filter inside? Makes sense.

Yes, here’s the how-to on replacement. If you don’t have the inner ring, you could make one outta similar diameter discard cans of food or beverage.

Replacing funnel filter felt - Coleman Collectors Forum

Coleman No1 Funnel [felt exchange] - Coleman Collectors Forum

Some copper funnels have mesh screen, some have felt, and many have none. Not sure filtering is necessary unless using old fuel poured from another gpa. Fresh fuel from the store is pretty dang clean. Paper towel or coffee filter squashed in there works fine too

Tin ones came with either a felt, or screen in them Pop

over time, it got discarded.

My funnel's aluminum, and I'm pretty careful with filtering fuel already, so maybe I don't really need a filter.

Plus, I've got a boatload of coffee filters if it's necessary.

Being conscious of water in fuel is why there's always been a Dahl on my truck.

How often do you need to drain the water on the Dahl Pop? Assume gas stations keep water out of their tanks. And how to make sure no air gets in the fuel line?

Drain? Virtually never. Local fuel seems to be very dry. Occasionally, when traveling the Midwest, a few drops develop, but I monitor it more closely when there.

Asphaleine build-up in the sight bowl, and 2-micron filter changes, seem to be the only reasons it ever gets touched.

Everything got double-clamped at installation, and it has kept bubbles out of the fuel. The Hutch mod eliminated the duck-bill, so no bubbles from that, either.

When I say tin, I mean aluminum. The new ones are all plastic
