That's a clean one. Over the years, all my cleaned (evapo-rust) treated metal gets a layer of light rust in this humid environment. I've started spraying a few with high temp clear. We'll see if that peels in a couple years.
i dont think ive had a problem with rust on the steel yet, but mine are inside the house.... but the temp swing is between 65* and 98*. interesting the climate changes 30ish miles make between your place and mine. When i take them out camping i try to be mindfull, thinkin of taking one to pismo next week and may have to slather it up in gun oil to protect it from the salty beach air.
that slant 228 is my favorite, haven't ran it yet with the mica.....
