I've had one lantern do this. Sometimes it'll stop once the pressure or temperature changes after its been running a while. 
It's the cleaner rod and eccentric block that resonate. Put a SLIGHT bend near the bottom of the pricker rod, left or right of the hook. Just enough to put a little sideways pressure on it and the e-block.

A few pics from the Coleman G2G yesterday at Prado Regional Park. I overnighted Sat night and had a blast with all the VW nuts. We were up 'till 1am fettling with non working lanterns; a great group of folks.

cool pictures! i had asked on the thread over at CCF whom do i pay for camping and kinda trying to get a feeling for how campground camping works but never got a reply for a month and even then it was a one word reply... so i just lost interest.

The park ranger at the entrance asked if I was a part of the VW club and I said yes. She let me in for free, then I paid $10 to the organizer Pete who then gave me a wrist band good for the weekend. Really relaxed group, lotsa knowledge there on VW and Coleman. They have another VW g2g in June. I think I'll go back and unload a bunch of Coleman stuff I'm not collecting. They're eager to get Coleman lanterns to complete the 60's camping look with their buses.

You'd be charged with having no road tax and M.O.T and made to walk home. The van would be confiscated and possibly crushed. You'd be criticised by the media for not having done a Risk Assessment and endangering other people on the trail. We can't have people like you enjoying yourselves, ordinary couch-dwelling citizens feel it's not right.

Another member on CCF shared it with us (his lunch hour project). I printed out a copy on paper, but honestly, the original version is growing on me. I painted the steel body high temp gloss black, added some black silicon sealer and reassembled.
