Dale Im doing a little more research but I think I still want to cut a 250 more leg room and more room under the hood for what I need to do are u sure the 6.5 box would fit with a 18 inch frame cut ?
That 18" was just a guideline. It's best to have the truck there to test fit, just in case you want to take an extra half inch. Is an F250 cab any bigger than a 150?
ok, so there ya go. now, it all falls into place. Make sure you start a new thread for the build. We're on 17 pages already, and I'm surprized zxwut made it this far.
First off ur always a pleasure to hear from, just on lunch at the lube shop I need ur brain again
Remember my gfs dad hosts a jeep club on his 1000 acres so I have a crazy idea could I fab a crew cab bobbed on a single cab longbox frame with a dt360 and 37s for off road and on road and the added cab space ? And a 205 divorced or maybe a tbcase that came on the 90 250 and an FSO640
That's very possible, and not exactly a problem. Then, just use a flatbed for the rest? The stock tcase off a 90 isnt a divorce mount, that stopped in the 70s. You would have to make an adapter to mate the 90's tcase to the big trans. Besides, a 205 is dirt cheap.
Where would I get an adapter fabricated up and o I have to have a divorced or could I use my stock transfer ? And get an adapter fabricated also what would I use a flat bed for ? I want a full bed that's the issue
A place that does machining can make it, but certainly not a low budget route. The flatbed just makes it easier to run an extra short bed. It's all part of planning a special rig. The little details you really want, and what can be compromised.
