A good idea is to post your body plans in the OBS section. I'm sure someone has the measurements, or have tried it. Front axle would be dana 60. A 44 would scatter. You skipped a couple inches on tires, I'm pretty sure 39s wont fit with only a 6" lift, but you can verify with the OBS guys.
Right, start with the rad & cooler installed, then get the engine/trans set in place. That is, after the engine is put in the compartment. I think the floor may need a good beating, but that's just around the flywheel area. The trans itself isnt all that big.
Iv decided to be smart Im going to keep my toy (f250) separated from my daily, I have a 95 ranger ext cab,, I want to make that a diesel daily and I heard with a 4bt u break a lot of parts cause it's too much power. I looked at the Perkins 2.2 and it's gutless any ideas on diesel 4cyl I can use that is American made ? So no kabuta
I know they have diesels in south America I mean my engine must be made by an American manufacturer like IH or cummins no kabuta or Mitsubishi or Mercedes diesels
A 302 would be easiest, and lotsa fun. Actually, the 4bt was made in mexico since the early 90s. Again, you can 302 a ranger for what it cost to buy a 4bt and trans, as long as you get a deal on the 302.
I'd prefer a late 80s ranger for the boxie look and all metal also is there a specific year 302 that maybe had better flow or ease of instillation ? Also what trans ?
