pinto..barbs are ok on the return side..but on the pressure side it is a bit to high to use barbs..i dont even like using compression fitting's on the high side...but they do work in a pinch. it is just like everything on a custom build..you usually use the third design..ha ha ha ha

Hey Brian, Tell your manager in two weeks I'll have a complete 2WD chassis from my truck. Disc brakes, 9" rear, 4 speed trans, driveshaft and steering. $250 for everything but the wheels and tires.
Bob, that means we gotta get your truck done so we can get the chassis over to the shop so I can get mine done.
I got the Cavalier red again today. I put the spindle back on the Saturn and took it for a spin. Now the passenger side is quiet so I can hear the driver's hub bearing growling. That's about my luck. I just pressed the new bearing in the other spindle when I got home today. I'll throw it together first thing so that one is out of my hair.

RC, the top hole is the return line. The pressure line is the bottom hole. We're trying to find a wrecked truck to scavenge an engine from. If we get one, I'll steel the P/S lines for you. The factory has a cooler mounted in the return line on top of the rack. If I can score the lines from a wrecked truck, I'll steel the cooler, too.
Alan it's 7:26pm, I'm still waiting for it to warm up some outside. Starting to think it isn't going to. As soon as it does I'm outside. Gonna get the front bumper off you'r chassis, then go after the seat, unhook the steering column from the steering shaft/box. Need to warm those nuts to get cab mounts then get the red off of your truck!
The do it over again. I'm really ready for this to be finished with. Once mother nature get a little more on my side I'll get busy. But that cold damp stuff we have now kicks my butt!
Unk Bob
No sweat. I didn't figure you'd be outside today. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. We'll get it done on the weekend. Sunny and 70. Perfect cab swappin' weather. I gotta see where I can buy some O2 and Acetylene for the hot wrench.
alan how much cutting ya gotta do ..i have my portable torch (small bottles).. will try to get up there this weekend..and thanks for checking on the lines for me
Not much cutting, just gotta get some cab mount bolts to glow. I need to get gas for my rig anyway. I've been putting it off for a while now. I sure won't turn down the extra help, though!
WHAT MORE HELP!!!! I'd love to get the red truck apart, and Ka'Bluey back together, even if it's just set on and bolted.
I'll get in the garage tomorrow and get back on the wire wheel. Want to clean the rust off of the nuts and bolts for the body lift. That'll get me off the couch for a few minutes anyway.
Hey Bob, you better eat your Wheaties on Saturday. I'm going after that thing with a vengeance! We'll have a red cab on Ka'Bluey by Sunday lunch time. The weekend after next is my turn!
Alan your on! I'd love to see Ka'Bluey done this weekend. When ever your ready to start working on your truck, just hollar! Anything, help getting the chassis over to the shop, R&R, body what ever! Unk Bob
Fellow FTE'rs I think we're going to bust a 1000 post month! Maybe Terry will even chime in?
Sorry bud... It was easy. G'Night all. I'm down for the count. Unk Bob
