Right now I would like more time with Penny and my Fords, and less time overseas.
Its just a hoof in the pills when after 6 weeks and you are getting ready to leave they say have you have to stay a few more days, Penny and I already have plans on Sat in KC.
I should be use to this kind of work schedule, its always like this, I am just being a whiner about it.
I didn't take it as whining, just venting. This stuff sucks and there has to be some sort of solace to be found no matter how minor the solace is. you're welcome bud.
So, I have a '88 Dodge D50 that I can't get rid of, can't drive and feel good about, and don't know what to do with it.
Used to belong to my Father-in-law before he passed, so that's why it can't go away. My idiot brother-in-law needed a temporary ride, so the wife and I let him drive it for 3 months. He's a worthless deadbeat who never checked the oil. When I got it back, I had to ADD 3 qts of oil to get it to touch the stick. Oil pressure is not as good as it was and I'm concerned about the condition of the bearings due the oil that I drained out after getting it to the shop. Needless to say, it looked like silver-metallic paint. Those motors are already known for tossing rods out of the bottom end, so I'm trying to figure out what to do.
Not really looking for direction, just felt like venting.
Put Lucas in it and drive it 'till it stops. Then fix it. If you already know it's sick, you might as well get as much use out of it as possible before you tear it down.
Rich, I know exactly how you feel. We had to wait for a few weeks until things died down in '07 enough to get a bird in the air that wouldn't get shot at. In '04, my unit had all the equipment in the containers and everything at the port ready to go home after 12 months overseas. Then they told us we were staying another 6 months, ...go unpack. We were dangerous animals after that. Talk about bad attitudes.
pull the pan and roll some new bearings it. what motor does it have? if its the 3.9l ex 318 with 2 cylinders cut there not a bad motor. they look like a 318 but its a v-6.
good morning missouri!!!...j20...might be a good time to do a rebuild if you wanted to save the baby ram..keep driving and you could damage beyond repair
