I hear rumor your in South Austin. I too have a '56 that I'm working on as a project. I would really like to see another. Would you mind if I stopped by sometime to see the truck and talk shop? I appreciate it!

    Hey Kelly,
You still alive over there? I haven't seen you around much - still moving forward on your truck? I'm chasing a few gremlins - If I can solve this Transmission shifting problem with my AOD I'll be happy.

Sorry I was so slow in responding to your question about who did my IFRS. I actually had it done in Cedar Park - It took them forever - not recommended but they did finally finish it up. I have the truck down at a place outside Seguin getting new engine/trans installed - These guys are very good & have done a lot of restoration work, They go by Averagejoe's restoration - James & Rob. I'll shoot a link to them if you are interested. Replacing the front end is expensive - the kit I went with was around $3k & another $2K to install - It was the Wide Ride from No Limit Engineering.. shoot me back a note if you have any questions. Good to meet you.

I seen you are looking to buy a new IFS for your 56. I bought a kit for my 54 and did not use it. I found a chassis that is already done and now have no need for the kit I bought. Here is a link to the kit I purchased.

Welcome to the Tx chapter. We have a great bunch of guys here, and are all about getting to know one another. Stop in and post any questions you may have. Take a look at the stickies at the top of the forum. We have a Tx chapter members map that you can add yourself to. We also have a photobucket for the chapter. There is a thread for that at the top of the forum as well. If you add your pics to it then Robert will put them on the photobucket. Also if you can add your name to your sig. I find it eaiser to get to know everyone by name than by handle. Here is a thread for you to introduce yourself on. again welcome to the chapter, and dont be afraid to jump in on the bs thread or anything else you see.
