a C600, and yes, from a classic crash'm smash'm comedy. I happened upon this site and could spend more time there than a teen playing video games. IMCDb.org - Internet Movie Cars Database
Yup, and that's Jonathan Winters at the wheel. The movie has a ton of cars in it. Seems the oldest ones get smashed. Wouldn't you just love to have that 47 super deluxe convertible that they tore the heck out of and then drove it into the river?
It seems every truck is either a pickup, flatbed or even a tow truck. Anyone have a box truck? Not a van or depot truck but a conventional cabbed truck with a vintage correct box on the back. I would really like one, not that I have the money to buy one but I like the way the look but haven't seen any on the street or at shows. If I could find a nice box I'd switch it with the flatbed on my F-4 just to be different.

Sorry, I accidently posted my question in this post, I meant to start a new post. I will but I'll leave this here.

So Bob, yuou would like to have a manure spreader??
Bill Walford had a 56 Box truck but he took the box off to make a flatbed. I just checked his gallery but he must have taken off all his pics...

Oh no!! I pulled all the '52 sheet metal off of my F-4 and put the nicer looking Monkey Face ear front clip and cab on it. The '52 sheet metal was in fairly good shape and sold it. Just couldn't look at that Manure Spreader grill.
I'm in no hurry to buy a box, the F-4 is still sitting in the shed out back half together. It got put on the back burner to work on the '37 Buick. But if I happen to stumble across a nice vintage box I'd really think about getting it. I think the major problem with the box body is rust. I worked in a truck body shop and that's what I found in the newer trucks I worked on. All kinds of junk gets hauled in the back of those trucks. Once the start to loosen up they just start flopping from side to side.
We needed to move a bunch of alder logs so we could build a picnic area for an upcoming family reunion. My son and nephew did the work. I got to drive. We will mill them up in the fall for ongoing projects. I was surprised that the mechanical brakes work pretty well. My son pointed out that it wasn't even on it's overloads yet....
Yeah...I know....she only see's light duty work but, she is legally owned and operated by my motorcycle company and does due her share of hauling (mostly my butt around town) and looks dandy fine doin it.
Above pic of Miss Rose (54 F100 Panel) with my riding group S.I.C. (Salish Island Coasters) at the 4th of July Parade.
Both of my daughters with Miss Rose showing their shirts. Neither knew the other was going to wear that particular design that day.
My eldest daughter making sure the sign is on properly. It's not but why tell her?

A great looking group, people who look like they know how to enjoy life, and your panel is really nice!
Thanks!!! Unfortunately, most couldn't make this event so your only seeing a fraction of our members. I started the riding club last year after seeing a need for these local riders to get together and enjoy their bikes.
I did it with the premise that there are NO elected club officers, NO charter or bylaws, NO dues and NO Rules. We just ride no matter what your bike is. We have a blast even if we're just on an island (no bridges).
Ya'll should come visit this part of the world. I think you might like it.
BTW, Gary....ya need to fire up your Beezer and grab the next boat over to San Juan Island and come play with us. We meet at my shop every Sunday (Beast Customs 310 Carter Ave. across from IPS) at 10:00 a.m. Andy rode his B44 with us in the 4th parade. He had a great time with it and a ton of thumbs up!
