Yep, did the job quite well. I gotta ween myself off the alcohol some again. I drink excessively when I'm away so I can get a decent nights sleep, problem is when I return home, I get the good sleep and have to hear the wife complain about all the booze I go through.
yeah, i get that already and my kid is about to turn 1 this month. old habits die hard. i'm a great father, i'm just a drunk. but i'm trying to clean up
ok boys and girls this week i would like to tackel the radius arm situation. i was thinkin cut mine off. leave about 6-10 inches. get a stick of idk what diamter of DOM, as long as it would slide over my exsisting arms that i have left, or i guess i could grind mine down some. but anyways i just dont want a little twig down there holding my front axle in place. so i was thinking get a stick of 2.25 DOM with .375 wall and so that would leave me exactly 1.5" do put those sweet 3" ballistic joints on it with a 1.5 shank on it. also though i need to have a slight bend in mineis that alright to angle them just alitte maybe 12ish* at the most? or how would the proper way to do it? thanks
wow kris i didnt copy what you just sent me in an email i just was on ballistic and seeing what would go the best together...haha.....but so those weld in inserts are much better than a tapped piece of DOM? ok im getting pretty good ideas about make the legnth and what size pipe and all, but what do you think about about acually attaching it to the c part, should i cut it completely off and start from new? leave alittle bit to slide over and grind it down so 2.5 pipe slides of which is going to be a good amount of grinding? or just useing retangle tubing, but i mean i dont think it would make it any weaker i just think it looks way stupider than pipe. thanks

Better get 1.25" shank or the threaded insert wont fit into the 1.5" ID. If you want 1.5" thread then you should buy 2.5"x.375 wall DOM.

Yeah Id say they''ll need a bend but how much will depend on how long and where you mount them. Personally Id build them straight and go from there.

Id want something in there structural besides the weld itself. A little stub of the radius arm with a plug weld in addition to the main weld gets my vote.
