its not an offroad truck kris. and fake beadlocks bring epic ghey.
you bring the epic ghey. i could give a **** less if they are real or not, they look good on those rims, and those rims look good on 92-97 fords :flipoff:
easy boss. Im thinkin about getting those rims with out the fakeness. still undecided on the tires. I want a mud terrian but I also want to get good miles out of them.
Ive got Wild Country RVTs and Mickey Thompson Classic IIs (the rims posted without the simulated beadlock ring) and I really like them. Ive probably got about 20k miles on the tires and they seem to be wearing really well.
OK alittle progress lately. Everything is only mock up stuff just to get some rough numbers so I dont waste hours and material fabbing stuff up. Got some junk high steer arms on. My real ones are gonna have to be goofy shaped to clear my coil buckets. We are going to build the pitman arm. Jb told me he wouldn't be afraid to be out about 6-7 inches from the center of the shaft on the steering box to the center of the eye hole for the drag link. Mine is mocked up with about 5 inches of drop and 6.5 inches center to center. I have no clue if its going to work at all or not just a start. I just made some real quick tacked on adjustable trac bar mounts. So hopefully tomorrow I will have some better ideas where everything is going to be, But things are moving foward. The high steer arms get a bushing to bring the bolt holes back to 0* but for mock up purposes I thought it wasnt needed.
Well here are some pictures. Please remember all these brackets are for number purposes only. none of this will be close to how its done in the end.
New rear hangers and Cross member. Think that cross member is good enough?
First time i put the trac bar in.
After I made the correct adjustments. Since the lower mount doesn't sit that high off of the axle im going to raise it about 2 inches so the upper link isn't putting so much leverage on the frame.
Pitman arm from the side.
The trac bar and drag link are sitting within a half of a degree of each other. Gonna do my best to make it perfect on the real ones. There rougly 10-11 degrees.
