o ya for sure mark, i will be doing that, i just wanted to get the truck roughed in. i will fine tune everything as i go. just wanted to get it on its own weight. ya i thought about a cross member for them front one? what you guys think you think bracin to the frame would be alright or just go all out and put a cross member in? thanks
ok question just snooping around on cl and found a fresh rebuilt 429 for 1200 everything stock except .40 over...should i hop on it and just leave mine in storage and wait for another day. because i cant get mine that nice for 1200? what you think?
ya not sure yet just found it so i txted him but no responsesoo ill call him tomorrow and ya ill only buy or think about it if i see reciepts of less than a couple of months old. i dont have lots of extra money but i would rather put money in something 100% ready to rock and roll than dick around with mine cause all im going to do is keeping building and buildin on it cause im never happy.
dillin, where do you live? my local prices are high, but that seems high to me. i would much rather spend 3-500$ on a motor i could hear run, and have the spare cash left to put in it. 1200 is a chit price, cause it probably means they only did what needed to be done to make it run again. i would much rather get a junkyard motor or a runner from a private seller. my yards will get them running before you buy em, and thats why i trust them. if it is close and you can see it and hear it run, it may be worth it, otherwise save your cash and look elsewhere
i dont trust no one on motors. i would much rather buy a locked up one and rebuild it he said he had no reciepts so its going to be a no go, unless he can drop that prices a **** ton.....ya i can hear it run, but i already have one so ill prolly just stick to orignal plan.
you could always find a stock set to rig together with the lift coils. i haven't seen that riggertry voodoo done in a long time, then you could get them chrome plated. that would scream badass and let people know you mean business
Nice! I gave a call directly to skyjacker a few years ago when I sas'd my 150 for a set of 1ton rated coils. If yo know what length, I'm sure they can make em.
