I wouldn't put it in a Ford, I'd put it in a Kaiser Jeep

Seriously though, if I ever get the chance, I am going to put together a Kaiser Jeep (or J-Series truck if I can't find the Kaiser version) and it's going to have a Detroit. Probably a 6V53T if I can find one.

It'll be fun to pull up to lights next to Cummins Dodge trucks and let 'em have a listen to how a diesel oughta sound.
Now if I were planning an engine swap for a Ford, I'd be looking at a 4.0L I6 out of a Jeep...those are tough little motors that get decent mileage. I've wondered how it'd handle being in a pickup...

Those things are awesome trucks! I prefer the M37s to them though.

Nice, but will you sell the truck when you get it?

Yep. It's on craigslist now.

I can't afford insurance anymore. I'm getting rid of it

I put down call for price. Because I don't know exactly yet. Thankfully because more snow is on the way, no one in their right mind would buy a 4x2, so I can play with the price a bit

So you will soon no longer have a ford truck? That sucks.

How much longer should I wait before I start Christmas shopping?

I have not started yet and I am wondering how much longer before it comes back to bite me.... I procrastinate so bad.

I'd say tomorrow is probably the best day to get it done. Don't go on the 24th, that will come back and bite you harder than ever.
(speaking from years of retail experience)

I usually go 2-3 days after. Less crowds and lots of deals. Anybody that knows me isn't surprised by the late presents. Lets you seperate your stuff from the flurry ,too.

Of course if it's your wife or kids, that doesn't work.

That is what I was thinking.

The way I see it is:

1 go tomorrow.
2 is walmart open at 2am on Christmas morning?
3 what would the fall out be if I skipped it this year?

Don't know what time they close on Christmas Eve, but 2 am might be pushing a risky situation for Christmas day

I just called walmart, they will close at 8PM on the 24th and open at 8am on the 26th.

This leaves 1 and 3 still open.

The repercussions from #3 might be that you have to call into work for help.
