horse power is nothing that power stroke has gobs more torque.torque is what gets you moving.as the saying goes (horse power is how fast you hit the wall as torque is how far you move the wall).but i bet that power stroke gets just as crappy mpg as the v10 gets .LOL
only driven one v 10 and it was driven hard,(work truck)and she was lucky if it got 8 mpg. LOL.f450 if i remember correctcab and chassis with a deck and small crane on it.it was heavy.maybe that's way.HA HA HA
I picked up a set of fender trim the other day off Ebay. I got it to play around with instead of experimenting with the trim on the truck. The chrome plating they put on those aluminum trim pieces is useless now. I came to the conclusion that there is no way to restore it, so I sanded it all off.
The pieces look pretty cool sanded and I would clear coat them if they didn't show every nick, scratch and dent in them. I could try and get the dents out and sand away the other imperfections, but I don't think I could pull it off to perfection and then I wouldn't want to do all the trim that way. So I'm planning on some good spot filler and high build primer followed by some type of paint.
If I didn't want this truck to be inconspicuous, I'd consider painting it a color. That would probably look pretty good, especially black. So I'll be looking for the best chrome or silver or aluminum finish I can find.
Monday night football sucked. I just hope the Redskins get beat as bad this Sunday night! I really like a close game, but a blow-out isn't as bad when your team is handing out the whoopin'.
