I was just looking in my Crystal Ball and I had a vision of the future. I was visiting FTE and there was a new thread:
Hello all- new to the forum here, I was just wondering what you guys thought about my recent purchase:
I just picked up a 1985 F250 2x4 with a C-6. Overall, the truck seems to be in good shape, but there are some things wrong with this truck that point to the PO not knowing what he was doing.
I paid $900, and I'm beginning to think I got ripped off. What do you guy's think? What is one of these trashy trucks worth in Indiana anyway?
Sorry Josh- I couldn't help myself....
Seriously- $1000 is like bottom line for anything that starts and has 4 tires that hold air and a bed. If it is inspected and tagged, you made a killing . If it has really nice tires and is inspected, hurry up and close the deal before someone sees you and you get thrown in jail for stealing. That's the other side of the buy/sell equation.
See, this is the other reason i don't want to sell it outside Nebraska/Iowa. Won't need an inspection each year for emissions and what not. Only time they inspect anything here is when you get an out of state vehicle that needs a Nebraska Title.

Can you run that by me again? I thought you just said what you just said, but I'm not sure.
DAMN! I'm a Texan through and through, but I'm starting to feel real shorted here...... Everything is bigger in Texas, except our deer. When we hear some Nebraska/ Iowa boys talking about hanging weight, we think about beef.
I'm an obnoxious, hard core Texan, that never want's to admit ANYTHING is better anywhere else, but I'm also not an idiot, and it's hard to beat whitetail hunting in Nebraska or Iowa.
It might be because you guys aren't smart enough to keep them out of your crops, so if we wanted to give up 1/2 our crops to get a slightly bigger parasite- we might be even .
Just kidding. We do have some ranches down here that have world class animals, and we're talking everything here... Texas has almost the same climate and habitat as Africa, a fact that hasn't escaped some outfitters and ranches here.
But generally speaking, the average public land deer taken here is the size of a medium to large dog.
And now you tell me they are lax on vehicle inspections? Do you have a spare bed?
it's good and bad at the same time. There are trucks out there much worse than mine, as in panels being held on with bungee ropes and wood screws. Most of the people in this area seem to just sell their vehicles to the scrap yard after a while though, so there aren't a ton of deadly vehicles out there.
I'm looking on Newegg for what parts I want to get for my new computer. I can't wait to build it, it's going in that eMachines case, and it's gonna be such a sleeper. No one will suspect it has a quad core CPU in it.
