Sounds like a solid system. Thanks for pulling up all the specs
lol. You just reminded me...I was looking at computer cases on Newegg, and I had found one that I liked. It had blue lights on it and whatnot, and it was like $60. Sure it's good and fine, but then I realized I have two perfectly good eMachines cases already. One of them has a Celeron sticker on it, so that'd be one heck of a sleeper case. Surprisingly, neither case is proprietary, so a regular mini ATX board should just fit right in. Even has a multi-card reader on the front that runs off a USB header, so I'd be good to go.
(Now I'm all excited lol)
This is what I want as far as basic specs. I'm not planning on overclocking anything, I just want a stable, reliable computer that will last as long as my old Athlon has (and still is, lol). I would like to get everything and spend no more than $500. I'll be using my current peripherals and everything.
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, 2.8GHz (click) (check out the L2 cache.... )
- ASUS motherboard (still undecided on what model)
- At least 4GB of RAM
- ATI or nVidia video card (no more onboard video for me)
- Creative X-Fi, possible the Gamer model
- New hard drive (500GB to 1TB, key thing for me is one that's quiet...mine are loud lol)
- Windows 7
Oh and yep, that's an awesome color. I see these guys with these "camo" trucks...which is gonna blend into a wooded area more, a flat drab green like that Kaiser, or one of those green, tan, white and grey patterned trucks?
I'd think the Kaiser would blend in more. Cept if it was mine, then you'd hear me a mile before I got to ya. :P
Think 900 sounds fair for my truck?
351 W, C6, 2x4, Regular cab, long bed, 3.54 LS rear axle, Heavy duty front and rear springs, 1k Lbs Tommy Gate Lift, new brakes, decent tires, recent tune up,
I won't be working on the Transmission line prior to selling it. (i see no point in fixing the problem...since i won't be driving it from now until it sells

I'd only give you $700 and you'd have to deliverer it to Texas, but then I'm privy to all it's probs. lol.

Thankfully I am selling it Locally haha I don't want to deal with shipping.
I'd also feel bad if I sold it to a fellow FTE member, because i'm sure there is another problem somewhere, I just haven't noticed it yet :/ Wouldn't want it to break down or have a failure after driving it off

it's an old truck, you buy them as is.every one of mine had issues when i bought them,i wasn't mad when something went wrong, maybe i little upset because they allways break at the most worst time.
just be honest with the buyer so it doesn't bite you in the ****.
I have a list of everything I know that is wrong with the truck, and everything I have repaired (the repair outweighs the problems) I just need to get off FTE and stop watching the Huskers play, and finally put it on Craigslist
