highest mileage ever?

my dad drives a 1984 ford f250 extended cab long box 6,9 liter diesel, the truck itself has 416,000 miles on it, the 4 speed transmition has never been fixed or replaced, the engine was overhauled at 315,000 just for good measures, and the rearend is never been replaced but is starting to grind a little bit and the truck has been a trailer towing truck all its life for a construction company and now has a welder and torch in the back and is still going strong at 416,000 miles

Check out the ranger/B series page Miles on your ranger list...the highest I've seen is over 500k w/ stock motor.

Wow, a lot of you guys have a ton of mileage on your vehicles. I currently have over 143,000 miles on my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/318 engine. Engine runs as strong as the day I purchased it, and I now have a 3" suspension lift and go off-road a lot. My friend's 1979 Dodge Powerwagon has 220,000 miles on the original 318. The most I've ever personally seen is my other friend's 1976 Chevy Cheyenne pickup with 300,000 miles on the original 350. BTW, I remember on a Mopar site, allpar.com, an original 1960's Plymouth cab still in use has over 1.7 million miles on it. I think it's going to be in the Guiness Book of World Records or something. I don't remember what engine or transmission it had though.

well my sisters 95 explorer limited has 190,000 and it still runs strong, and starts up pretty quick.. its had a water pump, and a new rear-end. sumtimes it dont start because theres a loose relay switch under the hood. but, all ya have to do it open the black box, and tap the little switch a few times til it starts.. only does it occasionally... then my dad's chevy van has 250,000. its had 2 trans' but nothing big on the motor... and my truck had the old 223 I-6 from 1954 (rated at a meesley 112hp, lol) it says 16,995.. but who knos how many tims thats flipped over. before we baught it, it sat for about 20years. we started it up drove it home, and couldnt see anything behind us for a block... looked liek the clouds were chaseing us.. lol then all we did was change the gas.. motor ran soooo smooth.. in a way i hated to see it go.. but that 302 sure makes up for it.. now i can pass people doing 45mph.. before i couldnt.. seriously..

We have an 88 Chevy 1500 2wd with a 5 speed. The truck has 319,000 miles on the original motor. The valve covers have never been off this engine. My dad has run this truck through hell. He's overloaded it, driven it where people with 4wd wouldn't go, and always had the pedal to the metal.

My daily driver is a Saab 900. It has over 200,000 miles on the engine. I pulled the head to do a preventative gasket. The factory hone marks were still visible in the cylinder walls.

A friend of my dads has a 1997 Powerstroke I think and it just rolled over 400,000 miles. It is a daily driver and at 300,000 miles they hooked up to a horse trailer and took off to New York form Texas and back. nevr had any problems and never killed it thew whole way up there and back. Still original engine and trans.

My dad has a 79 f-250 4x4 with a 400 and a c-6 used it as a daily driver/hunting/boat puller/overhead camper hauler/wood hauler/coal hauler. He maintained it hisself. He bought it new and put an RV cam in it at about 60 miles.

In 1994 He got a 69 Bronco for a daily driver and decided to hotrod the 79 It had 470,000 miles on it and would start in -40 degree weather. When he took it apart it still had a few places of crosshatching in a few of the cylinders. After the rebuild I got a chance to drive it. It would sit in one spot and smoke all 4 tires and it didn't even seem like it was working hard to do it. I'm still trying to buy it from him.
