6,273,534 miles on a '92 Chevy Kodiak. My Dad's work truck.
starting in 1992 to present day is 10 years,
3650 days that he had his truck
3650 days driving 24 hours a day = 87600 hours of driving
87600 hours of driving times 70 miles per hour = 6,132,000 miles
It would be really cool if this truck had this millage on it but come on.
Not trying to be difficult but I am bored at work and decided to figure it out.

Come on, not to be difficult but consider the following:
starting in 1992 to present day is 10 years,
3650 days that he had his truck
3650 days driving 24 hours a day = 87600 hours of driving
87600 hours of driving times 70 miles per hour = 6,132,000 miles
My dad's 78' E-150 had just under 300,000 on it when the odometer broke about 10 years ago so it's gotta be toping half a mil. now. the only repairs ever done to it were a torque converter, carb and various electrical componants.
well my truck had 136000 miles on it when i got my license a week ago........since then i have put another thousand on it.......it runs like new.......it still has the original battery in it after eight years!!!!! says something for ford and their batteries (motorcraft) All it needs is new motor mounts and we replaced the original clutch.
93 ford f-150, 4x4, 300 I-6, long bed, dual tanks 137000+ miles and still going strong!!!!!
my 1980 toyota celica( 20R engine, 5 speed manual) had 268,000 miles on it when I sold to my friends brother for 20 bucks. is still see that pice of junk on the street every once in a while.
I have a 1988 bronco II that just turned 446000 kms. This vehicle has had nothing repaired besides a cracked exhaust manifold, havent chnged te oil in about 25000 kilometers( doesnt burn either) and just pulled a dodge one ton out of the ditch last week. It has a 2.9 with a 5 speed, and it has had one clutch
94 dodge CTD 4x4 5spd two clutches now wore out but burnt to a crisp 1 stock 1 centerforce 135k from 40k to present has been running at 350+hp from a stock 180hp no other new parts
93 2x4 CTD auto pulls 35ft camper, 171k 245hp from 100k up no new parts
I know it ain't the highest but my wife's 83 Chevette had 280,000 miles on it when it was ran over by a dump truck. It would probably still be going otherwise. I am not a chevy owner as a rule but that car ran great.
Let me tell you what a good daily driver is for a vehicle. A 1982 Ford Fairmont, two-tone color, that car just kept on going, I must of had over 450,000 on an 200 inline 6 cylinder, and because of that reliability that engine provided me I wanted to put in another 200 inline 6 cylinder, but an idiot at the salvage yard gave me a 250 inline 6 cylinder cougar engine, I was ******. That car was a work horse!!!!
I know what you mean. My 79 Fairmount took a hell of a butt whoopin' before it died at 183000. It had the 200 / 6 also. Not a lot of power but it was faithful to the end.
This is the miles on the trucks and cars I have. I have a 1991 f250 when I bought from the construction co. it had 513,000 miles on it their service records showed reg. service only. At 600,000 miles I made it a 4x4 with a 4 speed and a 460 the truck now has around 640,000 the 460 had over 200,000 when we put it in.
My 1986 f 250 4x4 6.9 had over 500,000 when I bought it from a ranch put a 7.3 in this eng. had 353,000 on it. put the 6.9 in a 88 f 250 and sold it to pay for the 7.3.
Wehave a 1986 buick park ave. with 183,000 miles on it.
We have a 1993 mazda 626 with 205,000 on it.
1964 IHC 241 in line six the man I bought it from said the milage meter broke after the 6th time around that was in the early 90s I drove the truck for abought 4 years and we now use it to pull the stuck truck out of the mud pit at our mud bog track.
1978 honda gold wing little over 150,000 when the speedo broke around 160,000 now.
It is commmon for a car or truck in the area I live to have over 2 or 300,000 thousand before a eng. change but we drive 50 miles one way every day to go to work some people here may drive over a 100 mile aday for work.
My youngest son works constuction has a 1986 f 250 460 eng. over 1.5 million miles but he is ready for his forth eng. and once a year we bring it in and tear it apart and replace any brg. tie rod ball joint that shows any type of wear.
Belive me I have owned all kinds of cars and trucks I have worked for ford Isuzu Yugo toyota and GM amd mitsubishi. Ford and IHC are the ones that has always give me the best service.
I had a ford tempo that had over 300,000 and it never had a rebuild and it ran tell the tranny went.
I also had a 3208 diesel that had over a 800,000 with two rebuilds.
it is all in the way you take care of your vechile.
