Checking for codes is VERY important. The scan tool needs to be a good code reader also (and not all of them are). FORScan (either the full version for a Windows laptop or the Lite version for a smart phone) is the best to get and it is inexpensive. The cost is in the OBDII adapter, and the adapter to get depends on the device that will be used for the download. The Full version download is free, the Lite version is less than $10.

As a simple reminder, the FICM is a computer and voltages don't tell the entire story. Sometimes it is the logic board that has the issue.
I got to get away from this I tried to use the OBDLINK max+ but it won’t show anything it is linked up but I can’t get anyone to help me it’s been 3 weeks I’ve missed 4 snow storms plowing I’m just totally disgusted I’ve had 3 of these 6.0 pieces of 💩 I guess 3 strikes means it’s out thanks for your help

With out know fuel and hpop pressure.. cant tell you what is wrong.. torque pro or scan gage 2 are the easiest way to get those numbers... your hoop maybe still good but an boring can cause a leak and the truck will not run.. need ipr and ice and fuel pressure

FORScan Lite (for iOs) with the OBDLink MX+ isn't difficult, especially w/ an i-phone, and it is the most thorough code reader. You must put your i-phone WiFi to the OBDLink MX+ (WiFi OBDII network). Below is a link for help setting this up (couldn't locate a video). That said, the 6.0L certainly isn't for everyone.

https://forscan.org/documentation_iOS.html

ScanGauge is not a great code reader. Torque Pro isn't bad at code reading.

Need IPR % Duty Cycle and "ICP" readings to troubleshoot the high pressure oil system.

I have both the Windows laptop version (full version) and the "Lite" iOs version (on my iphone). No issues with either.

I posted an iOs help link a few posts up.

I have scan gauge 2 connect to my 03 24/7.. I can read the numbers while I am driving.. are you using motorboat filters? You can also do the crank test with the oil filter removed to see how quickly the housing fills with oil.. you can also have problems with your lower pressure relief valve.. do a search on YouTube to find the how tos
