Apologies I have to write my question to you in the wrong thread but I can't directly message you because my account is new but I know you could help me with my issue. I'll try to explain and make it short. I lost an engine, pulled the cab, got seriously injured and a year later I dropped it back on with the "new" motor. When it was out I cleaned all the cab connectors and marked them. Marks disappeared and I replugged them in incorrectly (I'm fairly certain of that). Powered the cab and with a key turn, heard the injectors buzz but no fuel pump no tail lights either. Revisited the plugs and realized I had a couple wrong (90% sure of that). Matched the wire colors from male to female and had to switch 2 around (grey ones). Hit the key, no injector buzz, no fuel pump, ignition rotation leads to relay clicks in cab and in junction box under brake system. I also cannot access the obd2, no communication, verified with 2 different devices that work on another vehicle. As per another post you helped with, I unplugged the fan plug, egr valve plug, then finally the transmission connector (at pcm) and middle plug (engine) no pcm communication. Also before that, no pump/starter in neutral or park and no backup lights after I switched the cab connectors but all other internal electrical items now work post connector swap(heater fan/seats/window/radio etc).
So I'm stumped. I feel like I have the cab connectors correct. I don't have reverse lights, no fuel pump and my gut tells me this is not the harness to the engine (all fuses are good too) . I was very careful to install all grounds after thorough cleaning. The starter works when triggered by the passenger side wire junction, so it's good. Connection at the fuel pump are good. I removed the Pcm and noticed a slight burn smell at the cab to pcm plug location, I'm thinking maybe I accidentally fried an internal component when I hooked the cabin connections up incorrectly. FWIW, the dash cluster lights up, shows mileage, glow plug light cycles, abs light is on, fuel guage works, spun the engine over with the wire as I mentioned with key on and oil pressure guage came up after the prime. That's where I am at currently. Could really use some advice. Pcm toast?

Happy to pay for your time as well. Just want to get this truck running again.

If preferred, you can DM me. 🙂

Sincerely, Michael
