Took quite a bit of pushing to get it in the garage... but we finally got it
Built a bed and mounted it
However, it needs a new oil cooler and rear adapter so gotta wait to raise the funds (Unless someone is selling one for less than the dealership)... And the truck is also in southern michigan and I'm up at Michigan Tech for college (houghton) so no work is getting done till spring break.
Future plans are to replace both cab corners and drivers side door sill, then shoot the whole truck black again cause the hood and roof peeled and began to rust. Once it's black it's getting some sign writing done on it but that's still in the air.
Where in Southern MI are you located? I have a buddy in Decatur MI that can rebuild the oil cooler for you and would be WAY cheaper than buying a new one. Or you can do it yourself.
What John said, and how hard was it to get in there?
It has a ZF 5speed. You can see the clutch MC peeking around the hood hinge next to the brake booster.
It was easy at first, and overall it went pretty smooth, but I had to make some unexpected mods to the frame, crossmember and inner fenderwells.
I used the 88 power steering pump, and used a compression fitting to connect it to the 70s line.
I'm going to build a new oil pan for it, and new mounts so I can drop it about two inches and get it off the steering linkage at the same time.
By this time next year, nobody will be able to recognize this truck.
Got to your photobucket account, mouseover the image you want to use, then when the addresses pop up, click the one that says IMG code, it's usually the bottom one. Just a regular standard left click, just one, and it'll flash "copied" for a second.
Once you're back here, right click anywhere in the quick reply box, and select paste. Once you hit "post", your picture will be visible.
92 f250 IDI, dana 60 front, 6"lift, 315's, 2000 watt inverter, air compressor w/ 7gal tank, homemade bumper, train horn! minutes before I ripped the front bumper off on a tree. after I made a new bumper and sliders and dana 60 front axle
For $200 I couldnt pass it up. Prety clean on the inside for 31 years old. i love it but im prety sure they didnt design it for a truck with a 6 inch lift it was interesting getting it in there it was taller than the roof of the house when I finally got it on.
Basic ole truck I love her though, I am currently redoing the interior so all the panels are out and I'm driving around with no instrument cluster or glovebox!
Soon to be all black trim with blue LED backlit gauges, my radio and CB are already blue so it should look fairly nice.
